Much Ado About Nothing... FUN TIME!!!

Hey guys! As much as I love working out, being healthy and discussing food, weight, goals etc... Sometimes, we need a break to clear our mind, relax and or just LAUGH!
Laughter is such a great release and something we can never have too much of! So feel free to write about anything in here. From pets, to favorite movies, to books, to friends, to careers, to games, to tv shows, to whatever! LOL Maybe you just need to talk about something fabulous! LOL Whatever it is, here is a spot to do it! Oh and don't forget- you can make your own threads too! I'm just trying to get us out to a nice start!
I'm very excited for the weekend! I'm going out with a friend tonight! She is taking me to see The Wiz playing downtown! I am a huge fan of musicals/Broadways/symphonys/concerts and anything that has to do with live arts. I have been to an opera, actually my husband just took me for our 3 year anniversary, and well- I wanted dancing (jazz hands here)! I wanted movement! I wanted Broadways! LOL
Anyway, it will be fun and I think we are going to one of my favorite restaruants after (best salads ever, they play old school hip hop, and they have a great eclectic wine/beer/spirits menu! I'm sure we'll go out dancing, but I'm not sure where!
You better believe that part of my crazy workout schedule is because I know I'll be sipping on some cocktail tonight!
Then tomorrow I am going to a yoga event! We are going to do 108 Sun Salutations! 108! LOL That is a lot! Anyway, we are doing 108 and apparently every sun salutation we do has a different purpose. I'll let you know how it goes! The good thing is that my husband (Todd) and I are going out to eat after! Avocado Alkalizing Salad here I come!
And finally on Sunday, my friend and I are going to "a wrap" party and then I'm teaching her barre/ilates. I'm excited! LOL It's one of those MLM type parties (think tupperware) where we get to talk, chat, laugh, and do a wrap that is "supposed to melt inches in minutes." Where is the roll eyes emoticon? LOL I'm all for having a good time with girlfriends, but you guys know as well as i do that eeer, uuuum, shedding inches doesn't work like that!
Soooooo, I have a full weekend! I will be on tracking food and whatnot, but if my posts are slight, that is why!

i just got back from an out of town trip and somehow i was able to keep my diet pretty good, which i feel great about. now my goal is to keep it there and really focus!0

I do enjoy my fun time, exploring. This weekend I went to Flagstaff to hike Mt. Humphery's the tallest mountain in AZ. I took a side trip on the mountain to find a b-24 crash site. Nothing left from the wreckage, but is was still interesting to go see a part of history that not many people know about.
This weekend it up to the mountains for some camping with my kids. Always good time in the woods.0 -
Today we went to a local park that has a train, playground, paddle boats etc. We joined up with a friend. Tomorrow we are surprising the kids and going to the drive-in. It's about an hour away, so it will be an adventure. I will pack my own snacks, though.
Not sure what else we are doing. It is going to 103 here, so we'll probably stay in and play games.0 -

Parks, trains, playgrounds?!?! Sounds like an awesome time! I want to be there! 103 heat would nice, being Phoenix is about 111. LOL i stay indoors when I can!
Hmmm, so what is fun? Well, I am going out on Saturday with my best friend! We will do some shopping, some bumming around (as my Dad would say) the mall, perusing the Betsey Johnson store closing, and getting some delicious food at Z tejas! I still have some free birthday things to use there and at Aveda, so I guess I will get a new perfume or cologne for my hubby! ALSO..... I have an interview over the phone tomorrow for a great job!!!! I am very excited about it and it will go hand in hand with my teaching... I feel I will get a second interview in person, so I will be buying something from their store this weekend!

Mountain biking? I love to ride any type of bike! I am planning on taking my bike with me camping this weekend to do some riding on Rim road by our camp site. So what race did you do? I don't race mountain bikes (just not that good) but I do participate in the road and hill climb races.0 -
This weekend me and my Hubby are going to watch some fireworks at my Mom's house. She lives in a lake commuity and they shoot fireworks over the lake every year, early. We plan on borrowing some beach cruzer bikes, and taking a ride around the lake and then enjoying some festivities at their "beach" area. Looking forward to some summertime Fun. Summer nights are one of my favorite things!0

FUN STUFF! BIKES!
I was a bandit in the Barnyard Burner race! A bandit means I stumbled across it and then completed it! LOL We didn't pay registration, we just jumped in! I was so under fueled it was ridiculous! LOL I had to stop a lot and even walk up one HUGE mountain but man, the speeds coming down were crazy! I was probably going 30ish mph while I was being passed (on crazy sharp rocks) by racers going 45+ mph! LOL I was just happy to do it! Oh and it was rainy, cold, muddy and a thrill! Thank goodness for those gummys full of energy that somebody gave me!
I like any biking too! My goal is to get a road bike, but first a fixed gear! My husband did the 109 mile Tour De Tuscon bike race on a fixie! CRAZY! That means that there are a) no brakes, and b) his legs have to move at all times! NO COASTING, NO CHANGING GEARS! He is crazy like that! LOL
In San Diego, I usually go cruiser style and well, I'll ride anything too! I just love rough roads and with my bad knee, it's much better for me to have shock absorption!
DOZIE- your weekend sounds fun!!!!! I never do fireworks in AZ typically because it's sooooo hot! I don't want to sit outside in 106 degree weather! LOL unless I can watch from a pool! I think for the 4th, I will be having a get together at the house!0 -
Okay ladies...
Am I the only one who hasn't read "50 Shades of Gray?!?!?!" I feel like I am the only one! LOL My friend mentioned it to me last weekend and now every time I am out and about I hear women talking about it, Kathy Griffin was talking about it on her show I watched on youtube last night and it seems to be BIG! LOL

AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT WANTS TO SEE MAGIC MIKE?!??!?!?!??!? LOL I know it's lame, but I'm super excited to see it! I'm sure the storyline is not great... but it's like the movie 300... I have seen it some 20+ times, never once with the sound on. LOL It's good background image while cleaning! LOL
Anyway, sorry had to get that out there! love some equal rights for the women. Men get a million movies a year that show some lady and we get one... you better believe I AM GOING TO SEE IT! LOL0
