I absolutely love Pepperidge Farm's Goldfish. They are one of my favorite addictions. Are there vegan versions of these out there?

I don't remember seeing any in stores, but I'm sure they're out there. Chef Chloe has a recipe for them that I've been wanting to try.

Definitely thought you meant the pet. Couldn't figure out the conflict of interest there, unless you were against keeping them confined, to which I would have suggested a pond...

ETA: check local health food stores... they seem to have a vegan alternative to almost anything. Or someplace like amazon since they're shelf stable.

How about vegan AND gluten-free? Man, do I love goldfish-- but I can't eat them for more than one reason! Maybe I can figure out a way to make a gluten-free version of the vegan recipe linked to...

I think PeasandThankYou has a version.

I've read you can also bake Daiya cheese by itself and it will taste like one. Gluten free and vegan.

Try Triscuits. I think it's the crunch factor that will satisfy you.

Thanks so much! I'm going to try to bake the Daiya and the Peas and Thank you - though I'll probably be lazy and skip the cookie cutter. Fingers crossed!

PS sorry for being so long to get back to you! I didn't realize anyone saw my post let alone posted anything. I was there was a notification feature!

These aren't identical, but taste very similar. Amazon.com has them.

raiderchicket - I haven't found any dairy free Annie's bunnies...but I have tried the organic and non organic version. They might actually be better than goldfish!

eco plant brand has a "cheese" cracker- ive never seen them in stores but ive seen them on veganessentials.com and probably pangea. my kids love love love" tings"-which are more like vegan cheetos and we get them at whole foods.
