I'm curious to know where the members of our new MFP group lives. Is it hot where you are? What is your favorite local thing to do?

I live on the east coast of Canada in Nova Scotia and my most favorite outdoor activity is walking or biking along the beach. LOVE the salt air it always makes me happy

I"m born and raised in NY state; moved to FL in my 20's...married and then moved back to NY state. Too much snow, too cold--we moved back to FL. In 2008 we relocated to NC. I plan on staying in NC! :)

I was Born and raised in Southern California and still live here. I guess we have the best weather. I live in a desert area, so it can get up in the 100 in summer and have some random snow in winter. I love walking outside when it's nice! We are in the 90's during the day right now, my hubby and me waite till about 7pm to take our dog for a walk in the park. My english bulldog over heats really easy, and can only walk for about 1/2 mile topps before plopping on the ground,(sorry to say same for Hubby ;0, but we are working on that!

Awesome to know where everyone lives!

I too, am from Minnesota, went to University of Iowa for school, my husband is from Chicago and went to Iowa State for school and now we both live in Arizona! It's soooo hot here! LOL There is nothing else to say but that! LOL

I really miss MN too! But the winters? The permanent frost bite on my face from standing at bus stops as a kid in -64 degree weather, FORGET IT! LOL If I want snow, I now drive 2 hours to Flagstaff and then leave to come home to nice weather! LOL

For Thanksgiving, we go up and visit my friend who lives in Flagstaff and it's so beautiful to see the snow falling softly, to hear the quiet "crunch" when you walk on the snow and to play with her dog up there... but two days is plenty for me. LOL We stay the weekend and then come back to our gorgeous 75 degree weather! I will say that while it's hot in the Summer, I prefer hot Summers to the cold cold FRIGID cold winters! LOL

My goal is to get to California! Southern California or Orange County- where the weather is gorgeous all the time!

I love to bike, do yoga, shop, inspire others, talk about fitness, organize things (a bit ridiculous), cook, read, draw, paint, dj, play with my cats, etc etc... Oh wait...

LOCALLY! LOL I like to support theatre, children's theatre in particular, and anything art related. I love going to local hot spots to shop, drink coffee or eat... Love trying out different groupons/living socials. But ultimately, I LOVE TO HIKE THE WHITE TANK MOUNTAINS! They are my favorite mountains to hike in Phoenix hands down! After you do a pretty massive climb up and over the mountain, you are transported to a different land! I feel like i"m in Lord of the Rings! Which for me is AWESOME! BECAUSE I LOVE LORD OF THE RINGS LOL

I'm from England, in a county called Kent (about 30/40 miles from London)

It's been quite warm here recently which has been an added bonus when walking about outide! Burning more calories! Had REALLY bad day yesterday. Snacked most of the day, completely forgetting i was going to a Pizza Express that night and the pizza was 1171 calories.. *facepalm*

However with the heat today, hopefully I can burn some off on my walk in a moment!!

Take me with you to the beach! When we lived in FL, we were about 40 min. from New Smyrna Beach. Our oldest loves that beach. My husband and I like the west coast--Venice, FL area. He would live along the beach. We live about 1.5 hours from the beach now and about 4 hours from the Outer Banks. We don't go to the beach as often as we did in FL.

    Have a great time!!!!

I am from Sunny Sacramento, California :) We have actually had a pretty mild summer here so far, but I am sure more 100 + days will be heading our way. I love the area because we are in the valley so we rarely get snow but drive an hour in the winter and we can have our share, we are also about an hour and a half from the ocean and the foothills and mountains are close too. Sacramento is the spot where two large rivers converge (Sacramento and American) and there is beautiful biking/walking trails along the rivers. We also have several lakes in the nearby area so there is plenty of outdoor activities to choose from.

I am from AZ. Been here most of my life. This summer seems about normal for me. I am used to the 110+ weather. Last year we set a record of consecutive days with 110+. This year doesn't look like it is going to happen. The only month I can't stand is August because on top of 115+ we usually get 50-70% humidity caused by the monsoons. But what I do like about it is the lightning shows caused by the monsoon storms.
