I don't drink much and was playing designated driver for a friend last night. We were going to a fireworks show and I picked him up and we went to get this girl he had gone on 5 or 6 dates with. She lives about 20 miles away. On the way back from her place we drove by a prison that the state is debating closing. We started talking about the effects of a closure would have on the local economy and she jokes that the worse part about a closure would be forcing all those inmates who have had their a-holes ripped apart to sit so long in those uncomfortable prison buses. We all chuckle a bit and continue the small talk and BS.

About an hour into the fireworks a few other friends show up including one friend of a friend ("FOF") type that is pretty annoying, especially if he is drunk. He starts talking to one of the girls who was with us. The girl says something about going to see Magic Mike. FOF says something about how if he knew she was going he woulda gone too. He might have been able to cop a feel and get lucky. Then he says something like, maybe I'll go by myself tomorrow. I could cop a feel from most of those *****es and if I play my cards right just do one of them at the movies. they'd usually call the police on me but they'd probably give me 50 bucks this time. How awesome would it be to get paid to rape one of those dirty hos?

My friends date, who never met FOF before, thought it was terribly offensive. I agree with her. I've always thought FOF was a jerk and slimy pig and try to avoid him as much as possible. Any way friend's date gets more and more upset over this the more she talks about it. Finally she says something like there is absolutely nothing funny about rape. It should never be part of a joke. I respond with something like, well that's not true. I am sure you don't believe that. She gets really pissed and makes it emphatic that she does. I point out that if it were really true she wouldn't have been joking about transporting all the prisoners who got raped. She got livid and stormed off. We couldn't find her to give her a ride home last night. We looked for her to no avail. She finally responded to one of my friend's texts that she was okay and found a friend who gave her a ride home. Today my friend is more mad at me for my "need to be right all the time" than he is at FOF.

She was a hypocrite and you called her on it. Tell your friend to get over it.

Yeah. She's dumb for getting mad and leaving like that. Although FOF sounds like a total douche.

The entire story, practically from beginning to end, screams of no class.

I dont know you David, DO you need to be right all the time??

Bit of a heavy convo for a first time meet with the mates, but she may have been drunk and got overly emotional about it? Or perhaps she's been in a rape situation and has no tolerance for jokes? But thinks man on man rape is ok/funny??

Without knowing you or the girl, it's tough to comment.

However, I would say if she DOES break up with your mate over something YOU or FOF said, then she's nuts!

I agree FOF is a douche...always. Last night, he was a little worse than usual. I've avoided hanging out with this group before because I heard FOF would or may be coming. I think my friend is really mad at me because he was going to laid that night maybe for the first time with this girl. After him lamenting on how I always had to be right though, I wasn't going to push it to see if that was true or not. I can't imagine he was expecting me to drive to her house and back at 1 am last night. More than likely, the plan was for them to go back to his place and then he would drive her home sometime today. Although, he did have me drive to pick her up instead of picking her up himself and having me meet them at his place. Who knows.
