Sixth Week Slump (P90X)

So I’m on the sixth week of P90X and I’ve been losing weight pretty rapidly. I was getting stronger the first three weeks and everything was going great. I was trying to stick to the diet as best I can, and yada, yada, yada. Well fourth week rolls around and I’m feeling all dizzy, and I can’t push as hard as I want to. So, I take a little break from all my walks I’ve been adding and even skimp on a yoga workout. Still every workout, on the break week mind you, I’m feeling weird. Well, same thing throughout fifth week and now I seem to be getting weaker. I think I need to eat more before my workouts and maybe I should cool it on the walks? Thought I would put this out there to see if anyone else ran into this problem. Thanks!

  • The nutrition book that comes with the workout says that if you have a drop off in performance, you need to add calories. From what you said, I think it might help your performance to eat more. I made the same mistake my first time through.

Nutrition is huge and most people eat wayyy too little. Post an example of what you're eating in a day so we can see where maybe we can help a bit more.

I don't user shakeology so I normally have a protein shake before and after the workout just to help with the much needed energy. You really need to watch your protein intake. I've heard it should be 1g of protein per pound you weigh. That's not as easy as one would think! Hence the protein shakes!
