accuracy

I'm just wondering about the accuracy of the calories/calories burned. I haven't lost much weight since joining and I'm wondering if the accuracy of the calories burned could be a contributing factor? Has anyone else noticed this? I'm not logging my exercise to see if that makes a difference. Any other suggestions?

I find that I burn anywhere from 100 - 200 calories less than MFP gives me credit for. I bought a heart rate monitor that gives you calories and I was gifted a fitbit by my mom. I was eating all of my workout calories back and not losing before. It seems that I was eating a few hundred calories too many and once I made the adjustment I started losing. It won't cost you anything to try cutting calories for a week to see if it helps. I bet it will.0

I will try it. Thanks. I find it odd how one apple can be 85 calories and another is more and another less :ohwell:0

Ahhh. I think I get it now. Are you talking about the different food choices and how they have different calorie values?
Those are input by users just like us and some are correct while others might be a best guess or type-o. When you click on a food in the window that pops up you can see how many people have verified that food item to be true. I always try and go with the most verifies. Sometimes you just have to input your own as well. Hope this helps you some.0 -
For food, I try to find the lowest one, if I have time. Be especially careful with any prepared dish, it is better to create your own recipes than depend on others I think.0
