    Why did they kill off Shane? He was the best character by far and was a born survivor.

    I thought Shane was a nicely complex character but he was a bad dude by the time Rick offed him. I miss Dale though-- he was my favorite character :)

    I'm a Walking Dead newbie! Watched season 1 on Netflix 2 weeks ago and got lucky and DVRd season 2 in the marathon last weekend, can't wait for season 3!!

    I'm in agreement about Shane, he was great!

    I'm not familiar with the comics but I watched the live show after the marathon last week and now I am-Can you read those online somewhere?

    think I read somewhere that Merle Dixon ( the crazy, racist biker in season 1) will be back this next season. That should be real interesting... I wonder if his brother still has his hand :)

    Me too.

    Shane could have been a continuing interesing character, it would have been a fascinating story arc to see him find a place between the two extremes and be himself again, some place between the two guys we'd seen him be.

    But, when the world is overrun by Zombies, no one is safe. :)
