I have a Fitbit and use it while i work out. The calories it says i burn seems low. Today it says i burned 302 calories while doing the Max Intro ply. I also did the arvage of my heart rate. Does anyone else have this problem with it giving you wrong numbers. Thanks for reading

  • I use mine while I work out. Sometimes it does seem like the calorie count isn't that accurate. I think it may be related to where you put it. It seems more accurate when it's on my waist rather than on my wrist.

    I have one.

It's meant to track steps, not intense cardio workouts. It will capture the amount of times you pick your feet up and down and altitude changes, and that's about it.... but it's an estimate like anything else. Go by what your scale, tape measure, mirror, clothing, and fit tests tell you.

I have a HRM and a fitbit. The HRM counts WAY more than my fibit, so I just subtract what the fitbit counted and add the rest as an exercise here on MFP.

Use the HRM. The fitbit can't track how hard you are pushing yourself. My fitbit is usually a little high for me on calories burned too. Go off of your HRM. Its the most accurate. I take my fitbit off for the workouts so I don't double dip. I lowered my goals with my fitbit online after I did this since I wasn't stepping as much not wearing it on my workouts. It’s a good tool but your HRM is best!
