Right, I cannot get my head around this!
I'm doing 5'3", female, 28 and doing insanity. As per the insanity nutrition guide I have put myself down as 'moderately active' and wanting to lose a 1lb per week ( not so much bothered about the scale now, after month one the difference in my measurements, body tone and general well being are something i'm really excited about!). MFP has me on 1570 cals per day now, I know that includes my deficit but does that also include my exercise calories? I am otherwise a sedentary person, I.e. desk job. Am I right in thinking that if I ate 1570ish per day AND ate back my exercise calories I'd be eating my exercise calories twice? Hope that makes sense and that somebody can help me out!

Your available calories on MFP does not include your exercise calories. There is a place to log your exercise, so you'll have to do that, and MFP will add those back in once you've done it. Insanity is rough, so in my opinion, you'll want to eat your exercise calories back. I know there are people on here who feel strongly both ways (eating exercise calories back vs. not eating them back), but I eat mine back and have had great results. Hope that answers your question. Good luck to you!0

Thanks!
Makes sense, the days I've weighed less have always been after either a rest day or when I've eaten more.... Guess I need to up my calories on exercise days. Never thought I'd find it hard to eat enough food!0
