MFP after WW

I bought into WW and am finishing up week 2. My wife signed up with MFP because we didn't want to pay for 2 WW plans. I like WW, but I'm thinking I'll just finish out the 4 months I've paid for and switch over.

Is it an easy transition? I know they are both essentially calorie counting plans. I just do like how WW has 0 pt foods and Weekly Points.

I started out with Sparkpeople, P90X, and MFP. I added WW and discontinued Sparkpeople and P90X. I am doing much better on WW because it teaches you how to choose better foods. I eat my calorie count in Sparkpeople and MFP but would not lose weight. I don't really like or follow eating plans (sparkpeople and P90X). I ate the same way with WW and found that I was eating quite a bit of high fat foods. This helped me change or decrease the amounts that I eat. I am learning what is high fat and making better food choices.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I've started tracking with both WW and the MFP app.

You can still track points using MFP or a phone app. I think it is cheaper to count points on your own anyhow. Once you know how the program works meetings and subscriptions are just optional add ons. For support you can use the MFP boards or acquire buddies online who are on the same boat.

Yep, I dropped WW. After a couple weeks of tracking with both...I saw that I was depending more on MFP for my decisions. After two months, I just got tired of tracking with both and stopped WW.

Now I find myself moving more towards low carb/high fat...and MFP is terrific in that it shows you your carb/fat/protein mix.

I'm also currently doing both. The main thing I learned from WW is to eat either fruits or vegetables with every meal & have them as a snack, since they are 0 points. My eating had been a bit off, but this week, I'm back to concentrating on that.
