How long should it take?

I guess I'm just used to P90X and my normal routines, but this seems really short to get through the workout! Even with adding in 10 pull-ups and 10 push-ups with every set I'm still done in 30 minutes. Does this sound right? Will it start taking longer when the weights start getting heavy and you need longer recovery time in between sets?

When the weights get heavier, your rest time between sets gets longer, so it takes longer to complete.
I'm up to close to an hour, but some people never get over 45 mins or so.
That's one of the GOOD things about lifting heavy - you don't have to spend hours in the gym!0 -

This is just one reason why I prefer lifting heavy.....less time training, more time for LIFE0 -
At the end, it was taking my husband and I about an hour and a half, we needed SO much rest time to get through it. Once you're at that point, its time to switch to 3x5, it shouldn't take more than 60-90 minutes.
But yeah in the beginning it takes about 20-30, because you don't have warmup sets and you don't need much rest time.0 -
Takes me an hour and a half. I rest about four minutes between sets on squats and upper body, sometimes 5 for the last set. I've never done a program that took this long. Sometimes I have to wait 20-30 minutes before the power rack is free, so then I'm really in the gym a long time.0

It takes us consistently about 70-80 mins from start to finish (less time for workout . We bring a timer and time our rests between sets at 3 mins. We warm up a bit on the treadmill and do a simple stretch routine both before and after.0
