Started training for my first Tour which is in Nov. I rode 10 miles Friday all hill country. I'm off to a great start and the 30 miles is looking more attainable. It is amazing the difference the road bike makes vs my hybrid. I was able to actually keep up with the hubby  He was impressed. Anyone else training for their first tour?

Wow I was just remembering back to my first tour. It was the Tour de Tucson, 110 miles, I was scared to death, I had trained hard and was on the "Bike Forum" and got lots of great advice there. I had a garmin/ HR monitor and uploaded all my rides to keep track of my progress. It was great fun and payed off with a silver at the end of the Tour.
Believe me If I could do it, anyone can do it. Good luck and stay safe.0 -
Congrats on your first tour! You'll do great. Before you know it, that 30 miles will feel like a warm-up for longer rides.0
