Is anyone thinking of joining this gym? Membership fees are high and they were very vague about guest passes, but a shiny new facility sounds nice.

I talked to a co-worker about it but I haven't really looked into it yet. What are the fees?

I was quoted $39/month and the guest policy was really vague. I've read that membership fees vary by site (and rep that you work with) which stinks. I wonder if Anytime Fitness fees will drop since LA Fitness will be their new competition?

Too bad more gyms can't just have a flat rate for everyone, like Gold's. :\

Ouch. $39 is high. Gold's isn't really a flat rate either though. The $10 a month gets you basic equipment but they charge extra for all the classes and extras. My co-worker looked into them because she is doing the Warror Dash in October. They originally told her $10 a month but when she went back to sign up, that person started listing all these extra fees for each class and everything else.

I didn't even think of asking the LA Fitness rep if classes were included!

I like Gold's because if you just want access to equipment, it's $10/month-to-month with whatever start up fee no matter who you are. LA Fitness seems to come up with nonsensical pricing that's more or less different for everyone which is pretty annoying.

I'll have to give Anytime a call to see if their fees are changing. They're small and limited, but at least it's 24x7. My work has a gym too but they're closed weekends and close up at 6pm on weekdays which really stinks..
