Welcome to Mr. LaBaw's Period 2 Personal Fitness Discussion Group. Think of this discussion platform as an ongoing, electronic conversation between you, myself, and your peers highlighting the finer points of personal fitness.
Weekly Discussion Board Grading: 20 points maximum/week (Formative):
20 points for making a meaningful contribution to the weekly discussion question.
Discussion Board Grading Criteria:
20 pts. for: A Meaningful Paragraph, Contributing to the week’s Discussion, citing previous posts or other online articles, videos, etc, with at least two "reply" comments to other posts.
15 pts. for a meaningful paragraph, without citing previous posts or other online articles, videos, etc., with at least one reply to others' posts.
10 pts. for less than 3 sentences, without citing precious posts or other online articles, videos etc.
5 pts. for completing a post without it pertaining to the discussion, or citing other sources.
It is an expectation that you feed off of other’s threads and/or outside sources- think of this as an ongoing conversation.
Discussion Question Will Be Posted On Monday
Must Be Answered By Friday (Regardless of Block Schedule)
Graded & Scored By Monday (Before Next Discussion Question Is Posted)
Quarterly Nutrition & Exercise Log Grading: 20 points maximum/quarter (Summative):
Students are accountable for keeping their workout and nutrition logs up to date during & after class. Each log entry is worth one point (only need to be completed on class days). You must complete one nutrition entry for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (Include snacks). You must complete one exercise log, based on your class workout . You either do it, or you don’t; you will not receive partial credit for only completing one or two meal entries on given day. You must include all exercises that you completed in class.
