Fruit has less calories. Think of healthier choices. I need to not even start snacking on sugar or I'll overdo. Also I need to ask if I'm really hungry or just thirsty. Eat real food.

I subscribe to the Everyday Health newsletter by the Mayo Clinic. It gives good advice and is motivating. Also I belong to TOPS, Take Off Pounds Sensibly. It helps to have a support group, hear others' strategies, have accountability, and contests. www.TOPS.org

I have found sugar to be addictive. Once I start, I want more. Tough to control limit. I try to think of something a little more healthy such as celery w/ peanut butter (1 Tbl). I taste sugar in the peanut butter. A distraction of hot tea worked a few times.
