PC. I'll only play a game on a console if it isn't available to play on PC.

There are no good or bad foods. Anything is fine in moderation.

^This. I am beyond tired of hearing about "healthy" and "unhealthy" foods, and how carbs and processed sugars are all or mostly bad for you, etc. No one wants to hear that they are simply eating too much.
-
I mean, if you eliminate carbs and sugars from your diet, the majority of your foods will be really low in calories, so it's not necessarily bad advice. He's just missing the whole picture.

Were your energy levels sufficient? I am around 5'9" 238 pounds and just started adding weight training to an already daily cardio routine. I just want to be sure I am eating enough for my body to handle the increased activity.

Not this one, but for the Steam Winter sale, I will be. :)

I bought and played about an hour of it, but honestly not a big fan of the game- and story-changing updates they made or are intending to make to this game. Makes it feel incomplete. Another problem is that the text in this game is way too small and gives me a headache after awhile when trying to locate things on the map…

Started Skyrim: Special Edition. For the very first time, playing Dota2 and TF2. And when I'm away from my PC, I'm playing Persona 4 Golden. As far as games that don't take 100+ hours to beat, working on Portal right now!

I put your stats into a TDEE calculator on the assumption that you were male and 21 years old. Even if all you did was lay down all day and you wanted to lose weight aggressively, it recommends you eat around 1600 calories a day. 1200 would be way too low for you.

Walk about 10-15 miles beforehand and then eat whatever you want.

Weight loss is 100% diet. Calories in/calories out. If you want to supplement that with exercise and have knee pain, I would recommend exercises like the stationary bike, elliptical or swimming if you have access to these. Have you seen your doctor about it?
-
It was the opposite for me. The only beverage I drink now is water with the occasional sweet drink or tea once every few weeks or so. Being hydrated in additional to daily exercise has taken years off of my skin.

Instead of looking for only healthy/low calories meals, I would like to offer a suggestion. What do you think about ordering whatever you want and only eating half of it and taking the other half home to eat for a later meal/another day? There is also the option of working out that day and/or eating fewer calories for your…

Go-to workout was the elliptical, but to much of my disbelief, I am falling in love with the treadmill.

Feel free to add me. Gym rat. Consumer of regular foods. Updates weight loss progress on a weekly to bi-weekly basis. Doesn't take himself or life too seriously.

I already answered those questions. Op asked for advice and I gave it. Weight loss is not linear and fluctuates due to water weight. Something that can really be troubling for those who watch those numbers daily. I see posts of people asking about this all the time. There is even a thread on the topic. I want Op to…

All I had to do was type in "How often should you weigh yourself?" into Google. I would never tell someone new to weight loss to weigh themselves daily. This kind of attitude is what causes so many people to give up in the first place. And yes, that last part is an opinion. But let Op decide for his/herself what they want…
-
1)If they are just numbers, as you say, then why have such an obsession over the need to look at them on a daily basis? You are only proving my point. 2) Again, look at how detailed and complex of an explanation you are using to explain weight loss/gain. In my opinion, I feel like you are over-complicating a simple…

"starving" I don't think that word means what some of you people think it means.

May I ask why? Is it really so important to see that .2 pounds of weight being loss? Will you panic if you see that you gained .2 pounds? Do you realize how many people on here complain about not losing weight or fear gaining weight after only a few days? Do you see how many people are addicted to the numbers on the scale?
-
It doesn't matter. Just weight yourself under the same circumstances and same time of day once every week or two weeks or however often you choose to do so. Do NOT weight yourself on a daily basis, however!
