I loved the new Armand Gamache too, KeriA!

I loved the first book and also the novella about Suzana (that chick rocks!), whereas in the second and third book I skipped whole passages because I just couldn't be bothered. But then angels have never interested me much. :smirk:

Last week I tried to read 50 Shades of Grey. That didn't go well...what is it about this book that makes people like it?
-
I recently downloaded them, too.

Thank you both for the recommendation, I put it on my list of books to read! Have you read Shark Dialogues by Kiana Davenport? Fantastic book!

Seems like we are in the same boat! I have a wonderful boyfriend who loves to cook (I hate it), and when I moved in with him I gained 10kg! I lost them again over the last 6 months but he weighs in at about 105kg (231lb), being 1,80m (5'9''). I'm worried for his health, he has trouble bending over to tie his shoes, and his…

This makes me wanna bake a nice delicious cheesecake and eat it too.

Today at lunch I finished it too. Awesome books! Now I'm starting Invaded by Melissa Landers. I enjoyed the first part very much.

I'd say all over 5'8 could be considered tall. I just googled average height in different countries and just can't believe the numbers, they are so low!! :astonished: For those who are interested, here is the link: http://www.averageheight.co/average-female-height-by-country

I'm reading the Never Sky series, halfway through part 2. Unexpectedly good and well-written.

I'm wearing a size 10.5, my walking/running shoes are one size bigger. Sometimes I can get away with a 10, like in my flip-flops.

Be sure to adjust your goals according to the weight you already lost. Drink lots of water, weigh your food, keep working out. Don't lose hope! My weight stalled all of December and into January, then, finally, 2 weeks ago, the pounds started dropping like crazy!

I just finished Popular by Maya van Wagenen and it was fantastic! Not at all only for children or YA.
-
I live in Barcelona and here people wear just about anything. Especially younger kids wear jogging pants or leggings all the time. Just wear what you feel comfortable in. Generally people don't pay close attention to what others wear anyway.

I started Popular by Maya van Wagenen yesterday. It's hilarious! It takes me right back to my miserable 8th grade times. Wish I had a better self-help book back then instead of crappy magazines!

By working out more and fitting it into my calories.

I just finished Lost Lake by Sarah Addison Allen, and it was fantastic! Like her others (Garden Spells, The Sugar Queen) it's full of magic (similar to Chocolat by Joanne Harris) and lovable characters. The author's affection for her characters oozes from every page. I must find her other books!

My colleague on my left keeps eating burgers, fries and cookies at his desk and is constantly offering me something. Every time I say no I feel very strong because I managed to keep my eye on the prize! What's more important, the distraction in form of candy or the long-term goal...?

The article made me say "Yeah, so??" all the time. Even if she herself never watched the show, her friends who advised her to go on the show must have seen it. I wonder how anybody could ever think the methods of TBL were healthy or sustainable? Please! :smirk:

I cried happy tears when Rosa returned! Ruth has a very good part in the last book. Currently Louise Penny is already on the last draft of the next book!

Yesterday I gave up on The Fault in our Stars. Didn't like the characters at all. What's with the pretentious talking and the long words? All I could think was that teenagers don't talk like that in a million years. Having cancer seemed to have turned them into obnoxious smart-*kitten*. (At least that's what my best friend…

We could be triplets! My goal is 1510 calories a day. I'm struggling every day not to go over because the time between my meals is very long and I'm almost constantly hungry (and cranky, lol). Only at 4 am I can't be bothered to prepare a veggie snack, and I don't like dried out cucumbers from the night before.…

Oops...true, thanks! Now my editing window has closed... :confounded:

So rude! I just can't wrap my head around the way total strangers feel it's ok to walk up to someone and comment on a very personal thing, be it pregnancy, weight or anything else. Getting a little dizzy from shaking my head. :confounded:

If I can save a few hundred calories to have spares for wine and dessert I'm on board! Thanks for sharing!

I like Jillian Matthews, she made me lose several inches with the 30 Day Shred. You can find some of her videos on the BeFit channel.

I love, love, love those books! <3 They make me laugh and cry and at times I wanna hug Louise Penny so hard for creating such wonderful characters! Way back when I discovered the series I started with the 2nd book so when I read the 1st I already knew who the killer was because he didn't appear in the 2nd. :D Enjoy the…

This! Sent f/r as I can totally relate to your struggle!

Hi everybody! I'm new to this group! I'm 1.82m (roughly 6'). Starting weight was 75.6kg, current weight is 70kg (can't seem to get below it  ). My goal weight is 65kg but I'd be ok with anything under 68.
