I'll be turning 40 in September. Looking to lose another 5 kg until the summer. Some of my friends fell off the wagon in December, feel free to add me

I never read regular books anymore since I got my Kobo. I can find all my books online, mostly irregular. I could never afford books the ordinary way nowadays.

Couldn't have said it better.

I'm currently reading multiple books because I can't really get into any of them: Relativity by Cristin Bishara Thin Air by Ann Cleeves and still, for 4 months, Leonard Cohen, una biografía by Alberto Manzano. For that I need my 5kg dictionary, not comfortable to carry with me so it's lying around and collecting dust.…

As Thin Air is more of a quiet book I read it before bedtime. For occasions where I need to stay awake I am reading The One by Heather Self.

I like Nike+ Running the best. Runkeeper is also ok.

39 years old 1.82 m (roughly 6') SW: 75.6 kg (166 lb) CW: 69.6 kg (153 lb) GW: 65 kg (143 lb) You don't have to be my twin, sisters and even distant cousins are also welcome!

I found the opposite to be true for walking! I walk a lot and have compared several websites, apps and also used a HRM app. The HRM gave me the highest amount of calories burned and MFP the lowest, together with Sparkpeople. Mapmywalk, Runtastic, Nike+, Endomondo and Runkeeper are in between.

Do you have cramps all those days? And I thought I had it bad! I get very painful cramps the first day, sometimes I feel dizzy and basically just bone tired from the pain. So, I don't work out but I don't feel like eating much either so that's fine. After that first day I feel normal and work out as usual. I don't know if…

Yeah, I tried to like Vera but to me she is a really disgusting character that I don't enjoy reading about (after living with a person like that for the most part of my life, some things just hit too close to home). Honestly, I downloaded Thin Air but haven't started it yet because another great find got in the way: Don't…

I'm sorry but I fail to see the problem here...it's just one option of MFP that you may or may not want to use. MFP has many options that are useful for some people and not so much for others. If you don't want to see your 5-week prognosis just don't click on the button.

I wish there was a like button for this comment!

What did you like especially about The Host? To me it felt almost like part 2 of a trilogy, a lot of wandering around and biding their time until finally the book was over. I liked the end but skipped the whole middle part. :disagree:
-
I put the leftovers in tuppers to eat at work for lunch, but I forgot about the cinnamon rolls...the original 2 portions made for 4 lunch boxes.

Yes, indeed I am! I live on the Costa Brava about 50km from BCN but I work in the city. Where does your family live?

Dumbledore's Army and the Year of Darkness (Harry Potter fanfiction written by Andrew Blake/Thanfiction) was really awesome! It was very well written, I couldn't put it down, and it made me laugh out loud one moment and cry like a baby the next. It doesn't happen often anymore that a book truly touches me.

Hi there! I'm on the other end of Europe (Spain) and have only about 5 kg left to lose. Add me if you like!
-
I would like to log but I'm invited (not wanting to look over the hostess' shoulder and quiz her about her cooking) and could only guess at the ingredients and measures anyway, so I'll just try to eat a not-too-huge portion and call it a day.
-
I guess I'm the odd one out - I only log it if I lose weight! If on my weekly weigh-in day I haven't lost anything I try again the next day until I see a loss on the scale. I don't care about accuracy, I want my weight loss chart to look nice.

Both my jeans fit again AND I can breathe and move in them! In fact my muffin top is now smaller than when I first bought one of them. I don't like jeans that much though, so I'm waiting for my next goal: have my skirts sit on my hips again instead of high on my waist
-
@ddache, you seem to eat very far under your calorie goal then, I have never received any alarming message when I close my diary. It just says how much I'll weigh if I eat the same amount of calories every day over the next 5 weeks.
-
I wish I could do more but my work schedule changes every week and sometimes gives me no time to do cardio at all except on the weekends. Ideally I do cardio 30 minutes every weekday and 45-60 on Saturday and Sunday. Plus strength (but not heavy lifting) 2-3 days during the week.
-
Out of interest: Where does it say you're not eating enough? My diary only gives me my leftover calories in green and then the prognosis for the next 5 weeks. How many calories under your goal do you have to eat to be "yelled at"? :worried:
-
Thanks for alerting me to it! I love the Shetland series! I cried so hard at the end of #4...but it seems as if there's new hope  Dumbledore's Army was amazing, I'm on the second part now.

Yesterday's selfie with my bf is the first one in months where I have only one chin, not multiple! Congrats HappyCampr1, that's so sweet!
-
Hi, thanks for having your diary open! I can't imagine your mother force-feeding you with a spoon! So please - no offense - stop the whining and start taking responsibility for your food choices! Cut out the sweet drinks and try to eat smaller portions. When she puts huge portions on your plate you must not feel obliged to…

Some days I like espresso with skimmed milk after lunch, and I log it. But that's not often, I also rarely eat cereal. My boyfriend drinks a lot of milk every day, but he's not on MFP. :smirk:

One of my goals was to lose a cup size - from a generous D to a moderate C, and now my pretty green bra fits me again! So happy right now!
