That one guy who shows up to the heated power yoga class (noted as level 2 - meaning you are comfortable with basic yoga positions and some moderate ones too), that has never taken a yoga class, never done heated classes, walks on the floor with his shoes on and makes weird noises during class. I know, I should be happy he…

I am a little taller than 5 10, my net calories are set at 1200 (yes it's ok, I discussed it my physician). I generally try to hit net calories, not gross 1200, most the time I am under, simply because I am not hungry. I do power heated yoga 1x week, group training with extra 30 minutes of cardio 1x weekly, barre pilates…

I have gone months without working out on a few occasions. I was pregnant ( not a good excuse, but meh), or just didn't want to. Just didn't want to go through the pain of regaining the level of fitness. For me, motivation is weird, I have to accept the pain I am going to put my body through, accept that I am not as strong…

Hiking depends on the weather, locale, and time commitment. 10 miles with 2 kiddos, takes about 6 hours depending on terrain. If we want a shorter hike, maybe 5 miles, anywhere from 2 to 4 hours. Winter hikes can take much, much longer for the same distances. And of course the gear needed can add to the level of fun.…

Thank you, it's not too bad once you get into it and remember safety.

Tornadoes are bad news. I have made the lake before, it's pretty enough and hits above tree line, but I had forgotten the last bit. Trying to retrain for the elevations above 11.5, for doing some 14k's next summer.

It snowed at the higher elevation and was awesome, and sprinkled a little at the lower. I actually love to hike in rain and snow so long as there is no lightning and it isn't a deluge. Unfortunately we had to turn back before the lake we were trying to reach. The terrain was too dangerous packing a child. She wiggles a lot…

Thank you dmpizza. Hiking is one of my favorite activities. It makes every day issues seem so small. I am so glad that my efforts were so rewarded today.

Actually, yes, Kalikel, I have had the poop issue while running and so have others I ran with. I will admit it, there are some unglamorous parts of exercising. Most common was bladder issues. It generally involved a pit stop, and doing your business and then running fast to catch up.

Lol. A long time ago in my life a run was only good if you puked. It can be normal if you push it too hard, ate before, or are dehydrated. Or hungover, I don't really recommend running when hungover.

My whole family did the Atkins plan together after my first child. It worked really well for initial weight loss. I also had no problems maintaining a fairly rigorous work out program. I learned alot about portion control, different types of carbs, different types of fats, and about different types of proteins and how they…

Fear of cruises is legit - I do the fear the food on cruise ships, food poisoning can kill you.

My goal is 1200 a day, most days I do stay within 1200 net. I am fairly new to this site, but am used to tracking food from the first round of baby weight I had to lose about 10 years ago.
