It's cold, record breaking cold where I live. And I feel hungry more often for the last couple weeks. It could just be my calorie restriction is too high or I could just want to hide under the blankets with a full warm tummy and hide from sub zero temperatures.

I have a 4 year old and a 13 year old, the most common question I hear: "Why?" I think my husband asks that a lot too. My response, "because I said so" or " it will be fun."

I hit page 2, then 3, and then the KFC, and had to wait until page 12 for the South Park reference. All the way to 12? I don't understand why that took so long for that reference to pop up. Useful knowledge gained - eat things with baking soda (cookies) will keep me alive (yay, but I didn't really need any reason to eat…

I don't become attached to clothing unless it's too small, then I hold it forever. Too big clothing, not so much, but I can understand the attachment. Could you make it into a quilt? I know people that make quilts out of baby clothes, or old clothing from deceased family members. Sometimes losing weight is like a rebirth…

Local gym in US, $90 a month family plan. Pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, decent cardio, nice size weight area with good equipment. Most classes are included. In all I spend probably $200 a month for membership, barre power, a small private women's group with a trainer, and child care. More than most, but I like it, it's…

Yeah, Colorado is a little more free wheeling and dealing. But I bet it would cure DOMS pretty well.
-
That would probably work. But your local shop could recommend which exact mix would work best. Oh wait, not all states have legal recreational use. Nevermind.

I would like to also add, I wasn't doing it for weight loss. I just saw the documentary and wanted to try it, for a limited time.
-
So I watched the documentary 3 years ago and it was interesting and the guy was compelling at the time I watched it. I was up for something new and figured I could do anything for ten days if I got enough calories. I was so horribly wrong. Mind you, I don't mind food experiments from time to time, but I really didn't think…

They are ok when I have that insane urge for BBQ chips. I don't eat chips all that often, but they taste ok for chips as I am way too lazy to make my own.
-
Probably not, but I don't buy food at the gym. I think my gym has some type of deli, but I don't use it.

Well if I compared it to circuit training in FitBit, it would probably be close to the same calories wise for flow or vinyasa. I happened into my fitbit when my husband upgraded his phone to Samsung with some wrist thing. I look at yoga practice like anything else. I can half do it, say I did it, but it didn't really do…

I forgot the study was done at CU Boulder with VO2 and heart rate. No idea about the validity of the study. Also, FitBit gives me about 500 calories for flow yoga - but I am 5'11" and nearly 200lbs. It's higher, but I figure it should lower as I lose weight.
-
I used to put it in as pilates with MFP, it seemed like a middle of the road choice. Now I log out in FitBit as it has different styles of yoga. Yoga calorie burn seems to inspire controversy, which is amusing. There are some who recommend not recording anything associated with it. There was a study done (Google it), that…

My calorie deficit could be considered aggressive - 7k a week. I am still far enough from goal that per most recommendations I can support 2lbs a week loss. With that said - I tend to eat back my exercise calories, to make sure my deficit doesn't go too high. Losing weight at 2lbs a week is fine, but I don't want to exceed…

My personal water retention/daily flux can vary up to 7lbs on a normal basis. I am pretty confident it's water, inflammation, and the amazing things that my body does. Or my scale is possessed and hates me.

Sigh - existence was supposed to be experience. Auto correct is not my friend today.

I feel lucky - I work with all women who are relatively conscious of calories and treats, thus my office doesn't have that many. We have a bowl of candy up front that we all try to avoid to varying degrees of success. So, beyond feeling happy about my office situation - advice wound be, avoid the break room like the…

So I have recovered from my peanut butter experiment and have prepped another experimental smoothie for tomorrow morning. Leaving super early for an extensive hike. It has 3 cups spinach 1.5 cups pumpkin (I love pumpkin) .5 cups blackberries 10 raw almonds Cinnamon, allspice, ginger, splenda Tomato Vanilla almond milk I…

I wish I had had my ex's attorney. She was mean, mine while having impressive stats, was probably not the best choice I could have gone with. My divorce cost me well over 10k in legal fees and jurisdiction custody issues and a lot of travel costs. Ah well, 12 years hind sight. No snacks in my mediations. Now I know for…

Funny. Paying taxes keeps you out of jail at least.

I won't bore you with my story, but I dated a guy that had a sad story. He had been married before and the divorce had been years before. I asked what the divorce story was - it was a typical too young, bought her everything, she was crazy story. About a week later I saw him and he said he had bad news. His attorney…

I went back to my stand by. I know it. It's comforting to have what you are used to sometimes.
-
Yeah they will help move things along. No smoothies for a couple days. I am waiting for my avocados to ripen a little.

A former co-worker offered to shave my legs with a straight razor because they "were so long and pretty". He then went on to describe it and how many other women he had shaved.
-
I think I am going to skip peanut butter in the morning smoothies as a general rule. I just can't make my brain be ok with green colored peanut butter flavored drinks. I wasn't hungry after the smoothie yesterday, but it was just unsettling.

My cycle can be pretty viscous, so I can completely empathize and understand the questions. For years, I didn't really understand how women just went on with their workouts when their cycle hit. And then I figured out, after some very in-depth conversations with other women, that their cycles hit them differently. I…

Reality hurts and is cruel. Yes, yes the inescapable truth of the world.

Let's see ~545 Kcal - please note I was rushed this morning, and did not weigh it out, but I am pretty close most the time without weighing. And honestly, you might want to lower the peanut butter to 1 tablespoon. It's pretty overpowering. And add ice. It's very liquid. 2 cups of spinach ~ 15Kcal 2 tbsp of jiffy peanut…
