No, but you are going to get your *$$ kicked for not sharing with me! I thought we were better than that! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As a husband, I was motivated by a number of things. First, my wife was taking great strides to take care of herself, which I then thought I better find a balance physically, mentally, and spiritually, too. My neighbors on both sides were lifting weights and trying to get in shape. It was tough tying my shoes (no joke),…

That's really great! A little success today was walking up to the top of a 10 story building 3 times, today, at lunch.

First, what is a calorie?
-
Why does it matter? I mean, if you get another (which you got five it appears for posting this thread) is there a consequence?

You could be full of crap.

My son says it's cool that I am working out.
-
No.

Why give up? If something isn't working, change it, learn from the results. If the results are positive, keep doing it; if they are not desired, change.

If I am hungry and in a hurry before the gym, I will.

I sure miss being up north, but we visit when we can. There's snow in Flag, too. I hope you find something that works.

I am always getting this one in the checkout line from the cashiers and sales women, "Is there anything else I can do for you?" Gosh, why can't they just want me for my mind?

My son. We moved to Arizona as a result. Montana has the highest suicide rates among teens in the nation. We tied the light box, extra D3 with vitamin A. Nothing helped. Now, he's a happy camper. It was worth the move. Some people function better in different climates.

When I really drop my calories, I get demovated and tired, too, and feel like I am not making progress. Now, my goals are better, more intense workouts. I like staying motivated. It is hard to fuel motivation, let alone muscles, on very little calories.

I played hookey from work, spent the day with my wife, saw a movie, went out to lunch, and enjoyed the sunshine.

Take a couple of days off, get some rest, and come back refreshed. Life isn't all about looking in the mirror and obsession with narcissistic pursuits. I struggle with it, too.

Confucius says, "Mojo hangs out with those who lift, not those who linger." Grab some weights, set some goals, and mojo will hang out with you. I am 43, I started going to the gym with my teenage sons 5 weeks ago. I used to bench 500 back in the good old days. When I started back, I was 225 for 5 reps and gave myself an…
