Well, it might be a long shot, but if you are jogging outside, the cambering of the street used to do that to me when I ran. I would have to switch off on sides of the street or find a flatter surface to run on. The cambering has the effect of shorting one leg, and you have to fight or compensate for the added strain.

Good idea and maybe plan some physical activities instead of sitting around.

Unhealthy to think like that? No, actually it is unhealthy to eat like that. I wouldn't advocate an alcoholic have a few drinks during the holidays. But, if that works for you. For me, I don't like to fail a few times a year on purpose. Overcoming the temptation is a success. Success motivates more success. Failure just…

Sometimes, when the doldrums come, you have to get through the storm just getting one foot in front of the other. Maybe things were not as good as they once were - nothing stays the same. The point is to cherish the moments. Discontentment really does come from staring too long into the past and the future. Maybe try…

7mm is the preferred method; otherwise, I am in the grocery store. Deer, elk, chicken, salmon, greek yogurt

Better to get a little rest and/or some food to have a good workout. Once you have some food; then, if that doesn't help, rest a little. Sometimes, we try to fight our body's signals that are meant to help us.

Those aren't friends.

This is how I approach it: lose a pound, smile, repeat. I don't really compare myself with others. It is nice to read about their journeys, but I know what I want, and I know I will get it. They are not something better than you or I. They have been working hard to acheive their goals. The lessons they teach us is to work…

Those are funny stories. I got one for you. I took a job to deice planes early in the morning, and I had to do some training in the bucket - picture one of those trucks with a bucket lift attached. Yeah, you know where this is going. Well, I was the last one of 10 people. It was required that each one ride up with an…

I was okay being heavier, until I stuggled to tie my shoe. Now, as I am losing weight and getting in shape, I just feel better. People who have a problem with heavy people have a problem with themselves, and it does not have to be the heavy person's problem. I never made those issue my own.

Because I am getting stronger and getting more fit and more energy and ... I like how I feel.

It's not how many times you fall down, but how many times you get back up that determine your success.

Sounds like a lot of cardio. Careful to listen to your body. Too much too soon can really take a toll on your immune system.

Usually, 40 minutes into aerobic activity glycogen in your blood has been used up (if you haven't eaten in couple hours), and after 40 minutes, fat is utilized for energy at a much higher ratio. However, as far as weight loss goes, a deficit in calories will yield weight loss.

Buy another mirror or stop comparing your face to others so much.

Hi from Arizona! It's about 90, right now. Sunny and 75 this weekend... kinda like a Joe Nichols song.

If you are Jewish, don't do it.

I want to hike the Grand Canyon, rim to rim. Gotta lose some more weight. Going to the gym 6 days a week. It will happen in 2015. I love going to the Canyon, but I have not been down in it, yet. I am excited. Since it is probably harder than a marathon, and I have done that, I will make another marathon my first goal. So,…
