Burn more calories than you eat. Track your burns and your food intake. Doesn't matter what you eat...CICO.

Thank U! I am no success story yet, but I intend to be one. The best thing is I no longer hurt....and for anyone who has been sick for a long long time, when you get better you appreciate how well you feel...that's what its like for me every day now!

The final blow was a photograph. I had been making very small changes to move more, due to health issues that the doctors couldn't figure out what was causing it (hip pain, can't walk for a month, tiredness, etc). I guess they no longer want to tell you...You are OBESE, you are not fat you are OBESE, and you are going to…

All 50 year old women look this way., those who don't have exceptional genes, Selective memory of articles I read: I read an article that a certain actress has a trainer and works out 6 hours a day when not filming to keep her shape.....since no-one in real life can do that no point working out, If I'm served it then it's…

I'm 5 foot 1, started at 190 it took 20 pounds before anyone noticed but I lost a few pant sizes. If you check my profile I have the time line there with the clothing sizes at each weight each month.

It's a passive aggressive thing... So put her on the spot. When she says it... Ask her what she's going to do about it. See if she can come up with something.

I sleep better, sounder. I feel small...every day I am noticing I do not take up a lot of space...in chairs, in the walkway, in the car. People, complete strangers notice me now,again...that feels a bit uncomfortable after 3 years of being ignored and getting used to blending in with buildings, the scenery, the road. hahaha

Very strenuous activity....IE: run intervals, build up to running straight. It solved my stress issues instantly (no stress after a run)

Oh they are noticing....they are just not saying anything. One thing about losing weight, you find out who your friends really are. I lost 30 pounds and 4 sizes...went to a meeting and my frenemies said "oh your hair is darker". My friends said "Wow! You look fantastic". People I see on a daily basis didn't say anything…

it's a WIN!

My glasses are too big! ...and my shoes.

While you are losing weight it is a journey....you lose weight you discover you can do more things, you reflect on success and whats getting your there, a lot of self introspection, it's a lifestyle change when the practices you've incorporated in your daily life to make those changes becomes habit....self reflection,…

Having to buy size 18W pants and when those becoming tight, I realized I would just keep getting bigger and bigger if I didn't do something fast and drastic--meaning stop eating huge quantities of food and begin moving.

Yes, don't worry about it. If you are below goal, it will come off. I went through a period of 3 weeks with no loss, but significant inches lost, then weight loss, inch loss, weight loss, after a while, it became a slow steady decline without so many stalls.

If there is an underlying issue to the weight, such as stress or depression, you have to address that before you can be successful maintaining anything...including CICO. Once you tame the brain, you begin to move, hope, and enjoy life more. Then weight loss becomes something you can do! Good for you OP for seeking the…

Fitbit HR ... Love it! Easy synch w mfp bout it on your wrist let it calf the burn. Fitbit .com will show ur cardio, peek, and fat burn chart for your tracked exercise based on HR. Sleep pattern chart. Step chart. Calories burned in 15 min intervals. There's nothing I don't love about it!

hahaha....A mid sized microwave! I've taken to reminding myself by hauling my two 15 pound kettlebells up and down the stairs. It's hard.
-
Just do it every day until it's a habit. once it's a habit u don't even think about it. It's like having coffee every morning ....you do it without thought. Same with the workout after coffee.

I love my HR charge. I had the charge but switched to the hr charge. Here's what I found.... The charge gave me about the same calorie burn as the treadmill did (treadmill does not have a HR monitor and neither does the charge). The HR charge shows a significant increase in calorie burned on the treadmill - about 70-100…

MFP reinforces what we all know about weight loss. Absent medical issues, people don't need a map for weight loss. But sometimes they don't want to put in the effort. MFP helps in that they see others succeeding, can get menus from others diaries to fit into their calorie goals, can get an idea of calorie burns for various…

Definitely second the big M issue. It comes on so fast it's scarey, during the big M its very difficult to lose anything, but after the big M it can come off fast too! And that ain't no old woman excuse either.

Every time I felt like binge eating, I got on the treadmill. It worked great. It stopped the urge and now that's what I focus on instead of food. Get my workouts in, go for activity when stress hits, --- basically recognize it for what it is, not hunger, stress--and do something that actually gets rid of the stress, not…

I think you look beautiful and not chunky at all. If your goal is to lose 20 pounds and that is a healthy weigh for you, then don't expect it to come off overnight or in a week. It's going to take longer than that. Starting exercise again after a period of time off, can cause some water retention. Just be patient, eat…

The terrible trio: Stress, Boredom and Peach Pie.

I've been at 1200 for 5 months now , feel free to add me, or look at my diary, its public

32 pounds, cut out the sugar, flour , processed foods for the first month to cut the cravings. Afterwards, I mainly stayed away from processed foods/refined sugar and flour, but added 2 blocks of dark chocolate for a snack so I don't feel deprived. Keeping on track with this. Added activity as well. If over my calories-I…

Take Magnesium, it will help

It must make me look younger. I no longer am automatically given the senior citizen discount, and when I asked about it a while back, I was told it was only for people 55 and older.... grocery store baggers no longer ask if I need help getting the bags to the car, the guy on the treadmill next to me in the fitness room was…

Activity. The only thing for me that cuts stress and then the hunger is very vigorous activity. So if I've had a hard day at work, I come home and run as fast as I can for a few minutes/ walk / run/ walk until my brain is good, and then...voila! no longer hungry
