Now. I wish I had done it earlier. It makes a big difference. Running helped decrease my appetite. But if I had to do it again ... I would incorporate at least some strength training maybe 2 days 60 minutes and cardio the other 3 days. Or some combo.

Before joining I like to do the free week pass that a lot of them have. But U have to ask for it. That way I can go in at the times of day I would normally go and see how crowded they are and whether there's enough equipment.

I also do both, but focusing more on lifting/strength now. Started in January and have not gained or lost any weight but it fluxuates. Definitely reshaping for the better. More tight, muscles are showing but its not bulky its just more defined....you can see where they are. I eat more on strength days because I'm hungry.…

^^ core strength, do some planks and ab work it really helps. Check your shoes too, and maybe have your gait analyzed at a running shoe store. I used to get it with worn shoes and even when the wear was not that noticeable

You look different, did you dye your hair?; you need to put on some weight so you don't blow away; you run???but you are so short!, I can't lose weight because I can't just eat natural food because I like milk too much; yea loooots of stoopid comments.

I sweat buckets. Have to wear a sweat band. Strength---always sweat, running- if I go all out or far yes sweat like crazy, if its just an easy short run...no, but then that's not working out either.

You can add me, and almost everyone on my FL is very active........and so very motivating!

When I was obese I did. Its our minds telling us we need to do something about it. Now that the weight is gone, obviously I don't but I also don't think about other people around me being "too big, too fat, etc". So people are not thinking that about you, its just your inner voice telling you to get healthy.

workout in the morning for strength - I eat a banana before and then immediately after a protein shake. Workout-running---nothing before and sometimes nothing after until breakfast.

I did the same thing when I hit the 20 more to go mark. For me, it was time to take a break. I logged food, but I had many days over goal, and I slowed down on the cardio a lot (running). About 2 months. I didn't gain or lose fluxuated up and down 1-3 pounds each week. Then after 2 months I hit it hard again....deficit and…

Great idea. Haven't tried it, but will now!

I always have one or two days I don't make 10,000 steps and actually have under 5000 steps. Days I run no problem, but strength days I'm lucky to make 4000 steps. Even before running or strength there were always one or two days with a low count.

I thought I would hate it, just started going. But I don't hate it. I kind of like it, but the strength/weights is all new stuff to me so I don't find it routine yet. have trainer showing me how to do it correctly so maybe that breaks up the boring too.... Not crazy about running on the treadmill, but with itunes its…

When I exercise it curbs my hunger. When I began calorie restricting, when I got hungry I went for a walk. Hunger gone. Have to make sure its real hunger, or stress hunger, or bored hunger etc. Now that im at my weight I need to be, there is no hunger unless its real hunger and then its with right portion sizes

One year. Running and kettlebell. Every day 40 minutes to 2 hours. 70 pounds to lose and 6 left to go. Took it up for health. It helps me control eating and it makes me hapoy!
-
That finding clothes is actually harder because you are not used to shopping for real clothes..does this look right?....Is it supposed to be skinnier at the bottom??? ....everything fits but you are more picky because of it.
-
I love my treadmill. Yes it occassionally was used as a clothes hanger. But I've had it for 12 years and its been used every year. Three years in storage and 60 pounds later....its used every day sometimes multiple times. I find it is a sanity saver in winter when I don't want to drive to a gym/class and can't be outside…

Don't worry it will go. If you still have 40 pounds to go. As I went through the phases of losing weight, i got squishy wierd fat, then it tightened, then squishy wierd, then tightened. Everyone is different of course. Keep exercising and keep at a deficit and you get to where you want! Good luck!

No. I kept some clothes that I wore at my goal weight and they are too big. Not because I'm at goal weight (still 15-20#s to go). But because running and exercise have changed my shape.
