You finally take off your fitbit and you have a tan line....

I have dogs. We must run!

Eat less and move more works, that's why it's being said over and over. Weigh your food, measure, under estimate activity burn can give you a better handle on doing this. Nothing will be 100% accurate but it will at least give you a baseline and go from there. If you lose you are going in the right direction, if you don't…

Yep happened 2 months ago. No motivation just maintained the weight even tho I was eating quite a bit more and exercising less. That went on for a month. Then one day it just came back as I saw I wasn't losing and went back to staying on goal. And I got that initial weight loss of 3 pounds in one week. Some people…

I get like that too. Some days its almost non stop. I'll run until I can't. Then 3 hours later ready to go again. So I'll do kettlebells or run again. It just feels great. I do try to make sure I have slow days though it's hard when you are in this mode. I also find that it goes in cycles, there will be a couple weeks…

Oh I never delude myself. It is more accurate then MFP.
-
Its a vicious cycle, been there done that. Do something walk, go to the gym, etc. Activity can help break the cycle of poor food choices. But you still have to plan your meals in advance and know what you are going to eat for the day. Sunday is a good day to go to the grocery and stock up on food and throw out the stuff…

B-12 ! works for me!
-
I alway trust my HRM, MFP is off on burn for me sometimes by 100 calories, ...trust the HRM!
-
All the time. It usually prompts a loss for me....
-
I have a charge HR, it's pretty accurate on steps. I'm more interested in the calorie burn though than steps.
-
You will find something at Macys!
-
Maybe doing a weekly goal average would work better. Some days you eat more, some days you eat less but you try to hit the weekly goal consistently.
-
When I was moving less I didn't eat back any, but if I have 500 to 600 exercise calories I will eat back 100-300 if I'm hungry. I don't log exercise on MFP, I let my fitbit calculate the burn and it synchs to MFP to show calories burned.

Certain organic food tastes much better to me, Lettuce, bananas, blueberries, onions. I can tell the difference. Because I like it better I buy it. I don't notice a big taste difference in anything else.

Laugh and say "oh don't give it another thought! I know you have Many More things you need to worry about. And I hope it all works out for you." wink then say "if you get my meaning......" put the headphones back on and eat the pizza.
-
Sounds like its grossly understated for 40 minutes. Even if you are going slow.
-
Yep, happened yesterday! I can always tell when the next day will be a weight loss day!

I wear my HR fitbit during exercise. There is a big difference in what it tells me as to what is on the machines that do not give you the option of putting in height, age, weight. I burn anywhere from 70-150 calories more according to the HR fitbit. The machines that let you program in the Height, age, weight give me about…

Yep me too. The bottom line is you figure out what works for you through trial and error. Figure out if you can portion control eating certain food or not, whether they give you a feeling of fullness or not, etc. Sometimes our eating control is conditioned and we have to train it, just like exercise. So do what works. Your…

hahahaha me too! But better late then never!

I pack a lunch for the plane....sandwich, cut up fruit, and green tea bags (you can get hot water for free on the plane). I call ahead to find out if there is a micro/fridge in the room and plan from there. In my suitcase, I pack oatmeal packets (add hot water), Health warrior bars, green tea bags, sweetner, individual…

Absolutely. Only thing that works for me for job stress is a good strenuous run afterwards. If I know the next day is going to be stressful, i do a walk/or run in the morning before work. At work, I walk at lunch. MOVE MOVE MOVE.
-
I really like mine. It gives you calories burned throughout the day on charts, charts your exercise and graphs it by heart rate zone ie: fat burning, cardio, and peak. Synchs easily with mfp. It keeps me motivated to move each day!
-
Last night I had to disconnect the fitbit from MFP on the MFP site, and then connect it back before it started synching. Go to apps on MFP, disconnect your fitbit wait a few minutes then reconnect.
-
Yep. That's the only thing that works for me!
-
Yes, it eliminates water retention in the muscles and body. I've been doing it for quite a while. It helped break a plateau, whooosh! For me it works great.
-
I always lose inches before weight. I can go down 1 to 2 clothes sizes without weight loss, then boom off comes the weight. Wait it out..it happens. If you are doing everything right you will lose. Sometimes muscles and body retain water, so drinking green tea will help eliminate it. Drink lots of water. If you are doing…

I'm beginning to use them a bit more. Started with 5 and 10 pound and those don't do much. Now on 15 pound and I can feel it, too early to tell if its doing anything, but the 15 pound circle around the head really works out some shoulder issues so I will always continue doing that. I think I'll go up to 25/30 pounds and…

Exactly, same here. If you are doing it right, trust yourself not the scale. The scale will get the idea eventually.
