I went back to the gym about 3 months ago. Then, I struggled to do 3 sets of 5 pullups on the assisted machine, with the maximum assist of 175. I've gone on and off that exercise in the meantime, but yesterday did it on the same machine for the first time in a while. It's tough, but I can do 4 sets of 5 with good form,…

You look like a completely different person. Also are motivating me to buy some new punk shirts when I lose a few more--I can't wait to change shirt sizes. Great progress!

but the purple and yellow color scheme totally makes you stronger!

If it makes you feel better, I'm a guy and people think because I'm big, I must be big and strong. Well, I'm in the corner at the gym benching 50 pounds, too.

My immediate goal is to lose 41 more pounds--that would give me a normal BMI for the first time in a looooong time. I'll add you!

I'm getting used to being a little hungry in the afternoon, and accepting that I'm not going to starve to death before dinner. Just a…

Lately my go-to has been something I logged on MFP as "Lunch Sandwich." It's always about 500 calories. I supplement that with a simple salad of spring mix. The dressing varies depending on my calories that day: if I need a more substantial lunch I throw in some olives or cheese. But I have to be careful with the cheese: I…

I have never lost any weight due to exercise. It improves my mood, but it makes me hungry. Period. Now I'm trying to really monitor my food instead of ballparking it, and that's helped. For YEARS I believed the experts and thought I could exercise my weight down. I started having weight troubles in the 1990s and am very…

I'm having the same issue. I'm practicing low-carb, ketogenic eating, and there are two things I really miss: pizza and beer. I can occasionally fit a tiny bit into my calories, but either one of those two bad boys usually leads me to make further bad eating and drinking choices. It's a struggle. I am comfortable accepting…
