Yeah and they are called friends. If they aren’t directly related as in cousin, aunt, grandparents etc and you are close, for me that is because you are friends, not because you are distantly related. So no need to worry about 2nd cousin twice removed labels, they are simply friends.

I think because it is not a common term there isn’t a simplier term. And for those where this is common, sounds like they just say cousin to indicate some sort of connection.

Ancestry seems vastly different to finding out your 3rd cousin graduated from high school or your aunts sister in laws nephew had a child. I was talking about living relatives. yeah, what i was looking at was more of a fly over rather than a cruise. the cruises that go there seem WAY expensive.
