Thanks!

I am definitely going to start thinking like this!
-
That is the best possible result of getting fitter

Today I did a 5 hour zumbathon. I danced every single song and maintained a high level of energy the whole time. Afterwards I rewarded myself with pizza, but I did a homemade one rather than takeaway like I was tempted to do the calories were still within a decent range (Zumba had earned me 3000 calories lol) I also…

How wonderful it is when you can share your chair without fear of falling off or pushing someone else off

Random NSV, but for the first time in months I couldn't handle the high impact Zumba class. Not because of stamina or coordination, nope! Because my smallest sports bra is no longer supportive enough of my shrinking chest. I've ordered 2 new ones of my favourite brand in the next back size down!

That' s brilliant. It's one of my big goals and I'm 189lb so now I really can't just blame my weight all the time can I  I'll get straight back in the gym and go to work on my assisted pull ups in the mean time I think!
-
I like that suggestion. Thank you guys all for being awesome on this thread!
-
That's brilliant! I'll definitely try that, thank you :)

I find it really hard to compliment people back when they proudly say 'you've done so well, I've been dieting for the last few weeks and lost 4lb' etc. Sometimes you just can't see it yet but I don't want to mess with their confidence, but equally I don't want to lie! I didn't have to deal with people confiding in me…

Tried on a pair of size 14 (UK) jeans in Next yesterday and I can fit in and zip them up!...yes with a huge muffin top, but I'm taking the victory. Fingers crossed I'll be able to wear them properly by the end of the month/start of next month
-
Random thing is that I can do up my seatbelt in one smooth move rather than yanking on it two or three times to get all the way around me
-
That's fantastic  I wish all my friends were like this!
-
That sometimes your friends are genuinely proud of you. I was showing my friend before and after pictures. Instead of doing the usual 'well done that's amazing' she welled up, kissed me on my forehead and told me how proud and happy she was for me. It was an emotional shift I just didn't see coming!

I have days where I'm constantly starving and days where I don't even notice I'm only have 1200calories. I wish I could work out the pattern to this! Yesterday I had around 1200 calories and happily did a 60km cycle. But the day before I was constantly grazing lol.

At the wedding I went to I got told I have better calves than some of the female cyclists my uncle knows. I'm pretty sure he was exaggerating, but I am ridiculously proud of my calves so I accepted the compliment at face value rather than dismissing it. Taking compliments well is a definite NSV!

I do this too! Or I buy clothes that just fit but might need extra control underwear to make it look smoother/better fit. When I was a bridesmaid recently the dress was ridiculously tight so I had to focus more than usual on weight loss for a month to make sure it fit. In that case I knew I didn't really have a choice but…

I got invited to do a handstand workshop with a friend. I'm now considered someone you ask to join in a fitness class because I'll enjoy it and be decent at it!

This was another Ah-ha moment for me too!
-
Like the majority of you there were lots of things leading up to my 'AH-HA' moment. I couldn't wear my largest jeans anymore, I was getting out of breath going upstairs, my osteopath commented on my weight gain. The biggest motivation was when I found out my ex had cheated on me for 6 months which in my head I decided it…

Thanks! I have a similar goal so think I will adjust this slightly to get to my target time.
-
Haha, I now imagine everyone coming out of the gym is covered in the equivalent of melted butter or oil. Ewww

Hey, just checking in to see how you are getting on? I'm still looking for a new obstacle race to tackle. I thought I had found the perfect one but it only gave me a month to train and I would need to be able to run an extra 5k. I didn't want to push myself that fast! I have been working hard on my arm strength so that…

My brain is still refusing to catch up to my body. There is a woman at work that I consider to have an amazing figure, dresses amazingly and is about my height. She mentioned her weight today and I realised that I'm only 13lb heavier now. I had always thought I was much bigger than her! Hopefully in 13lb time I can look as…

I decided today that I am a huge wimp and therefore need to say yes to opportunities rather than being scared because of logistics or not knowing what clothing to wear. So I have said yes to my friend's current idea for New Year in Colorado...despite me not knowing how to ski or snowboard and having absolutely no snow gear…

One thing I have noticed over the past six months that as my weight has continued to drop my TOM becomes a lot more predictable and less likely to put me out of action for days at a time when it turns up at all lol. I'm trying to avoid taking any medication as I want to see how the weight loss continues to improve my…
-
I used to feel bad about this too. But then I also realised that I'm really not the same person after 60lb loss. I'm just as smart and caring as I used to be. But I am more likely to say yes to opportunities, I go out more, I am a lot more forceful in my opinions on what I do socially because I need to fit it into my…

I never realised how much each small victory would mean to me, but as I become fitter and lose more weight, those victories become harder to achieve and considered a victory even for 'normal' people. I read the nsv thread and miss the days when it was a victory going from 30seconds running to a whole minute. Now I'm…

I had a wicked hangover today but recovered without greasy food. Then even went to a Zumba class...admittedly I had to miss all the jumps but the rest of it helped me feel better

I lost weight and my alcohol tolerance went right down. Hence a truly awful hangover right now :(
