I guess I'm the first Wednesday weigh-iner! I just love this group! To see so many people heading towards their goals is super inspiring. Congrats to everyone! 5'5" SW: 192 CW: 177.7 (down 1 lb from last week) GW: 155 Oh, today I grabbed jeans from my drawer that were a size down from the ones I've been wearing. Fit…

I went to the gym yesterday. I was concerned about squats after my hip pain issue so I did some extra warm ups and dynamic stretching before in hopes that it would help. No hip pain today so I think it worked! Squats - 2x5 @ 45, 1x5 @ 85, 5x5 @ 125 OHP - 2x5 @ 45, 4/3/2/3/4 @ 75 - bleh! Deadlift - 1x5 @ 135, 1x5 @ 165, 1x3…

You'll be back in it before you know it! Make sure you let us know when you get back into that dress!

When I lost my first chunk of weight a few years back I noticed myself getting colder quite a bit easier. During the winter I always have a scarf and gloves in my purse now. NSV this morning!! I decided to try on my fave little black dress to see where I was at with it. Last time I wore it I used spanx but I still felt…

@LauraCoth @samanthaluangphixay I kind of wish I had resting nice face!! I have bad RBF. It's even worse at the gym. But people still talk to me, so..

I made cupcakes on Wednesday (a test batch since I'll be making all the cupcakes for my brothers wedding in September) with my fave icing. Didn't even have a taste....didn't even want one either. Yay!

Oops, didn't see the August thread. I accidentally posted this in the July one. I just started back on actual stronglifts since breaking to run a different program. In all honesty I missed the strength focus of SL. (I did keep a lot of the compounds in but not as frequently as I should have to gain/maintain my strength)…

It was a long weekend in BC this past weekend. I went camping up the lake with a bunch of friends and family. This always involves a lot of alcohol (particularly beer) and food! I stayed on plan, drank rum and diet coke, and came home feeling great! Wham bam thank you ma'am!

Alright, I've been lurking long enough on this thread, I may as well post. What is your go to exercise when you are lacking motivation? Lifting. It's my go to exercise all the time! How do you decide who to friend here and what would make you unfriend someone? I generally will friend anyone who leaves a note with the…

I had screwy hormones coming into keto as I had stopped hormonal birth control after 13 years on it (about 8 months before keto). My cycles were irregular and shark week was a nightmare. These last two cycles that I've been on keto have been great though! Hopefully yours start to get better!

Awesome!!! The first time I attempted keto I didn't even own a scale. I just went by how I felt and I found it so easy to stick to because it took the focus away from scale weight and shifted it to the NSVs and how I felt. Three months in I went home (I was in college at the time) and I weighed myself to see that I had…

I've never tried this. Though, you really have nothing to lose by giving it a go. There's conflicting information on whether of not keto is good for adrenal fatigue. If you decide to go keto just remember to stay hydrated and keep your electrolytes up to avoid/lessen the keto flu so you can give this way of eating a good…

I think it's important to lose the immense guilt you have after a slip up. You're human, we all make little mistakes along the way. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and carry on. You can't change the past and harbouring negative feelings about what you did is just going to make you miserable, which will weaken your…

NSV: I was doing bicep curls at the gym yesterday and when I saw myself in the mirror I thought, "Dammmn look how jacked my traps, shoulders, and arms look" In fact, I actually thought I looked pretty good in general at the gym yesterday. :) It's been a while since I've had that feeling.

When I was moderate carb I needed to eat immediately after a work out. Now I don't feel that need at all. I usually just have a cup of beef broth with salt and potassium salt. At least I'm getting those electrolytes back in. If I'm low on protein I have a protein shake with unsweetened cashew milk as well.

There have been a lot of good options already listed here. What I usually do is wake up early on the weekend (so it's cool outside still) and make a huge batch of meat, put some in the freezer, some in the fridge. I have all the windows open while I'm cooking and by the time I'm done the house is still a decent temp as the…

I think you should talk to her. She might have thought she was making a light hearted joke without realizing that a comment like that hurts your feelings and downplays your progress.

Amazing transformation!

As far as calories burnt, meh. But after a hot yoga class I find it nearly impossible to eat calorie dense food. It keeps me in a good mindset which makes eating well a lot easier. So in that regards, sure it can help with maintenance. Overall maintenance is determined by eating as many calories as you burn. Yoga and other…

I usually do at least a day in advance, if not a few days. Then I know what I need to get from the grocery store and I have a plan. If I deviate from the plan for the day I make adjustments as I go.
-
I cant say I have..in fact this week I just went 3 days without washing my hair for the first time, pretty much ever. I only washed it because I felt like I should, it still wasn't greasy! (sorry if that grosses anyone out)
-
So ridiculous! Guess you won't be going there. Good news about the protein bars though. I'm curious though since her opinion was that people don't need to squat (which is insane because squats are a great movement)...did she have a pancake butt?
-
If you're talking BPC it's my new favourite thing, like, ever. I have it in place of breakfast and I drink it around 7am and don't need to eat until 12. I don't use any of the branded stuff, just my favourite type of coffee, 1tbsp butter, 1 tbsp coconut oil, 1 tbsp whipping cream.
-
I guess I should have used butt instead of the other option which I didn't even think was bad. It wasn't a three letter word.
-
That's me too, but I've been lifting for two years now so I don't have much boob to lose now...though I'm sure my body will find a way  but I hope I developed enough butt muscle that I'll always have an *kitten*. If I have no boobs but I have an *kitten* at goal weight I'll count that as a win. Fingers crossed!
