YAY for February!
-
Okay, ready for February - glad to see you back @MoStacy - I am ready for February too - made a good start to Jan and then utter derailment, will regroup for Feb. @Gidgitgoescrzy glad to see you too...whenever I sprinkle a little salt on my banana I think of what a great tip that was. and while I'm at it, I used some Rotel…

@jugar PW 168.1 CW 171.9 okay, tonight I regroup and pull myself together - will prelog for tomorrow.

I derailed after raclette night, too much socializing (eating) and cooking over the weekend, Birthday monday, not logging, not reading, and here I am, the day before weigh in. grrr... I must do better - I can't live like a hermit forever nor work forever- seems to be how I manage best - during the work week. Again. I know…

Had a fun evening with the raclette grill and niece & boyfriend but definitely feeling a little off this morning from all the cheese/meats - maybe I've gotten used to cleaner eating already. Back to it today.

@jugar PW 168.8 CW 168.1 @conleywoods huge hug to you

@DD265 can't wait to make that soup - looks and sounds delicious, and filling. I rarely use lamb as it's pretty expensive here but I can manage 250 gr. of minced lamb, I'm sure of it. @jugar glad you have the run of the house again :)
-
@Meals12 you wrote, "with the addition of trying to post once or twice a week (this pushes me way out of my comfort zone, so probably the hardest one yet" I'm not a great poster either - not sure what it is for your comfort zone, but for me it's sometimes feeling like what I'm writing is just rubbish, piddly,…

@micki48 good for you Michelle. :)

@jugar CW 168.8 I think that for the habit tracker - it's the ones that require action (10 situps per day or the like) that would work really well by pre-checking and then not wanting to de-check. I'll have to think about trying this - none of mine require much of an action.
-
I could as easily be called 'soupfreak' - one big batch of M.Stewart's veg & bean soup coming up. @lauren_989 like that quote "you are not cheating, you are making a choice to deviate from your goals." and I do like the idea of allowing a loose day.
-
Just checking in..it was a bit of a chaotic day and...back at work like many of you. I feel good about my food choices and quantity. Someone earlier was asking about pre-logging? I do best at tracking my food when I pre-log - usually as I lay in bed the night before OR if I made up something in bulk that I plan to have…
-
@jugar - I saw all your green in the habittracker :D happy to learn the reasoning and I love it, take another tack with your brain.
-
@jugar glad you're able to get outside and that your bout of covid might be nearing the end - this new variant is rapidly becoming the most prevalent. @CarolAnnM2 Great photo and yes, NOW LETS GET BACK TO THIS BUSINESS OF LOSING WEIGHT AND MAKE 2023 MEMORABLE! and @Ashleycarole86 good push thru the hangover to get out for…

Good evening and happy new year. Sylvia, 53, here in Massachusetts. Weight has fluctuated through the decades but usually never stayed down for too long. Have been with Waistaways since Feb 2020 - with great support, accountability and some obsessiveness, I did really well. Then...things/stress started getting in the way…

Today : I will not rummage around other offices looking for chocolate. Going to gather the few ingredients for Martha Stewart's veg/bean soup - I can eat as much of that as I want and delicious hot or cold. Was often on my menu when I was at my best...will see if it can nudge me in the right direction again. You too…
-
@jugar and @ashleycarole86, rest fearless leaders, take it easy on yourselves...because 2023 is going to be fantastic and full of good Waistaways energy. Sending you virtual chicken soup to feel better.

Damn open boxes of chocolate at work. Unopened ones are safe. Prepped 3 great salads this morning for the remaining work days but, alone in the office, that box, that I did not open, someone else did, called me..that siren song..... I'm going to move the box to the community kitchen right now! And have a cup of tea.
-
@ashleycarole86 Feel better Ashley.

Spent time this morning reading thru posts... @veronica1359 So sorry to read of your terrible experience. Glad to hear you are back home, healing and checking in with us...and joining in with Waistaways for the new year. @ells_bellz sending a big hug to you...a very scary experience. I'm going to begin some aspects of my…

well, that's the holiday over - didn't eat sweets (none available) but probably overdosed on lovely cardamom bread. oh, and maybe a bit of wine, but nothing extreme. Although a bit cliche, I'm looking forward to the start of a new year and maybe getting some resolutions in line. @conleywoods love that guinea pig portrait!!
-
@jugar, so I was so SURE that I'd checked in and as I'm scrolling thru the chat to find it....I see it, there, sitting in the box at the bottom waiting patiently for me to hit the post reply button. Sorry about that, see below. @jugar CW 171.0 (yesterday when I accidentally weighed - days mixed up - 171.9....just shows…
-
Hello all, Sorry to have been SO absent on here. I've just read thru the chat from about page 7 and already I have some things to think about - @conleywoods 'body can only handle 700 cal before...." ...that will be popping into my head. And of course the holiday challenges - our work has postponed the potluck party until…

good morning all, I'm Sylvia here in Massachusetts, and a longtime Waistaway. My weight has swung up and down through life but never staying down for long...it will be a lifelong battle and I'll always have to be conscious. I'm a snacker, a too-big portions, and a stress eater. I did great in 2020 - was a bit obsessive,…
-
@jugar CW 169.8 I'm so behind on posts and it's been a busy week or so. Ate too much for a few days but got back on track - I don't think this is a loss BUT I guess I'll settle for and be happy that for this month at least I stayed below a threshold consistently....now for December and January to get down to the next…
