I do like greek yogurt. And shrimp! I was avoiding dairy for awhile while I was doing the Whole 30 thing, but I do kind of miss my yogurt and cheese. Thanks everyone, for the ideas :)

Wow! .8g per pound would put me even higher, at 124g. That just seems like so much to me, especially when I really ate barely any protein before I started this. I'll go with your suggestions, though, and add some dairy and more meat. Thanks, ladies!

That is amazing! You look like you've lost way more than 24 pounds. Keep rockin' it!

I am not a natural-born runner; I've always hated it. But runners are always thin, right? So I did the C25K last year, took longer than the prescribed 9 weeks to get through it, but I DID get through it, and ran my very first 5k last June, followed by a few more over the summer and fall. It works.

I did the C25k last year, and it was great! I have always HATED running, but I really wanted to run a 5k. I did the treadmill version, and repeated days, or even weeks, but 12 weeks after starting, I ran my first 5k, and did it in a respectable time. You can do it!

Not really an "a-ha" moment. I was always thin as a teen and young adult. But three kids later, in my mid-40s, I found myself 30# heavier than I was when I met my husband, and always feeling self-conscious about how I look. I miss the days of never giving my appearance a second thought when I put on an outfit! I'm doing…

Hi Ondrei! I'm also a 40-something mom, trying to beat the middle-aged spread. We can do this!
