Sounds like you're right on track. I'm aiming for 1 to 1.5 lbs per week. It adds up, and you do see results.

That's so great! I've tried to spread MFP to my family members who complain about their weight, but laziness is a much stronger factor in my family than motivation.

Thanks for your responses. I think I'm going to go a little lax on the deficit for a while and see what happens.

Hi! I'm 27, started at 205 and I'm at 180 now, goal weight being 155. I'm a full-time student. Add me!!

My understanding is that it tracks your steps and activity level, not your heart rate. It adjusts my calories burned according to how much I've moved each day. I don't know how accurate it is, but I am motivated by the knowledge that I moved more the day before than today, ya know?

"I tried using MyFitnessPal, it didn't work for me." I've heard this so many times. The app works fine. You aren't working.

5'7" Started at 205 Currently 180 Goal is 155 I want to get there and maintain for a while, then go lower if/when I feel comfortable. Maybe 135ish?

I once lost 4 lbs in a week, and I kind of freaked out! But the next week I didn't lost at all, and my loss still averaged out to 1.6 lbs per week. I just had a good week, I guess!

I started at 205 with 50 lbs to lose in September. I'm already down 22 lbs! It's totally possible!

I was super hungry the first week or so. Then I figured out how to space my meals (for instance I'm hungrier at night, so I have bigger dinners later), and eat more low-calorie foods, so I rarely get that hungry feeling anymore.

I use my wii, play some wii fit u and just dance 4. I don't always log it because I'm not sure about how accurate it is, but it is a lot of fun, and it keeps me moving!

I did it for a few weeks, and I just did as much cardio as I could so that I could eat more. Since then I've found that I'm actually losing more weight, more regularly, eating 1350 to 1450 instead.

I love to motivate and be motivated! Only positivity here!

I try to keep it under 200 calories, because I get hungrier in the evening. 2 cups of black coffee 1/4 cup granola 1 slice lean ham 1/4 cup fresh fruit

What happens at three months that makes it more difficult? I'm a little over two months in, eating at between 1200 and 1400 fairly easily so far.
