  • On the weekends, assuming the weather is decent, I go for a walk on a nearby hike/bike trail. A "long walk" of that is a little over 4 miles, I think, and is 10,000 steps in one walk. I'll normally exceed that by 1000-3000 over 24 hours, with shopping and other activities. At work, I have a bit of a walk to and from my…
  • I usually eat a "light" Sargento string cheese as one of my snacks. I'll put a cheese slice on burgers and stuff, too. I just generally try to avoid eating overly cheesy foods, or I limit the intake of it.
  • I logged 2314 for the day. I did no exercise while also making myself all stiff doing a puzzle, so I felt pretty awful. I felt like my major sin of the day was the eggs and sausages when I got up, not the later meal.
  • I'm the same way. I eat a low-calorie frozen dinner for lunch at work (4 days a week). Then I usually have something healthy and homemade for dinner and eat snacks the rest of the evening. I'm actually having trouble, though, as I've found myself still needing to eat as many as 1000 calories after dinner (although I guess…
  • I've only ever been on one "diet" in my life. In high school, my friend and I just had Diet Cokes for breakfast and lunch and then ate normally in the evening (my mother's cooking, plus a little snack or some ice cream afterwards). It worked, but it wasn't exactly a healthy approach. I still prefer to leave most of my…
  • I bought new bras over the weekend that are smaller than what I was wearing. I can also comfortably wear a pair of pants that I couldn't even button about a year ago.
  • I go to lunch with some work colleagues on Fridays, and I always get a burger. I also got used to hitting a certain drive-thru every Friday on my way home. I've kept up both things, although I've dropped the fries/onion rings from the lunch. That plus a beer puts me at around maintenance for the day (and I may still do a…
  • I'm eating a lot more fruit. I didn't want to give up my blue cheese dressing, but I switched to a low-calorie version and measure out a small serving instead of just dumping it on. I eat a small amount of dark chocolate instead of regular candy--it's good for your blood pressure. Mostly, I think it's just an issue of…
