  • It can do.... You can choose what displays when you press the button. The only thing is it's fairly small and only shows for 5 secs before blanking. That's not adjustable as far as I know. I don't think it would suit a nurses needs in that regard.
  • I've now tested it against a MIO Alpha watch which has LEDs that are waaaay brighter.... and it has a rep of being accurate. I bumped my rate up to 115 (that's all I could manage...) and they both read within 1 beat of each other. The difference was the MIO got there pretty well instantly and the HR is only pulsing every 5…
  • The exercise specific record doesn't come across, but the calories you burned during it do. You can see on your Fitbit dashboard the calories you've burned today which is an 'all up' figure. It is a combo of the standard steps, any timed exercise, and an algorithmic adjustment up or down based on heart rate if it's…
  • One week of Charge HR and I love it. I keep seeing accuracy complaints but mine seems pretty good. The position on arm is critical if exercising.... Pushed up arm it's been pretty right every time I crossed checked with manual pulse count for ten secs. But I don't get over about 128 because I'm a fat old fart so maybe in…
  • Me 2. LNS 0 Woohoo! Thank you guys this is helping. :)
  • You cannot cheat. Reality rules.... always has, always will. You mass what you mass no matter what the scales say. If you are not happy with that reality you can change it... but only by genuine effort. As for charts and numbers.... tweak the weighing days all you like.... but the long term trend can't be cheated.
  • There is a dirt cheap chinese band called the Mi band by Xiaomi that costs $13. I think it's still only avail in China. Or you can look at the $50 Zip or Flash counters. They will do the basics. The Up3 isn't avail anywhere yet.... Production issues. I stopped waiting for Up3 and got a Charge HR.... it's great.
  • This is a great idea. Please count me in. Do I just keep watching this thread (somehow) or is this a group I join? Me: 1 - LNS: 0 (LNS is lurking there... its loosing now but it knows I am weak and it will pounce if I aren't careful... ) :)
  • I don't know... but I have noticed that if you want 'exercise cred' in your feed so you friends see it mentioned, then it needs to be entered here. I'm not bothering because the burnt calories come over from Fitbit so that's good enough for my needs. I could be wrong about this because I'm only new to Fitbit.
  • Hi I sent friend requests to the two good people above but I am also wanting to friend up with a few other folk to help with motivation. I read on here that having other friends here really helps with getting to your goals.
