I was famished when i left the office, worse when i got home and managed to limit myself to a piece of toast with a tbsp of cheese and then I headed out for a run with my daughter. It was a good run and i feel rather virtuous for having gone but she (unbeknownst to her) gets the credit for ensuring that i actually got out…

Ok danielaica - Let's make a point of checking in here on Friday to post our plans for the weekend that will keep us on track. And then we can check back in on Monday to report how it went. And of course, anyone else can join us..the more, the merrier. And the more, the more to be accountable to.

I think we need to set up a Survive the Weekend mini challenge! How many Survivors will be left on Monday mornings? There are 4 weekends left in August, so we have 4 opportunities to get things right within the August challenge. And for those who don't survive, well, we'll throw them a rope and pull them back on the island…

I'm available too...friend away if you're interested. :) I'm a daily logger and pretty interactive and responsive.
-
Congrats and good for you! I bet it wasn't easy. :) Are you going to try to keep these things out of your diet, or just have them from time to time?
-
Weekends throw me off too because I'm not in the office far from my fridge. The only things available weekdays are the good things that i pack in my lunch. I do much better Monday to Friday... and then Friday night rolls around and DH wants to order pizza and open a bottle of wine. I am going to have to ensure that i have…

A bit lighter. That sounds lovely. Just back from a weekend away and that means back in my own kitchen with control over how my meals are prepared. I'm looking forward to having a great August and sharing the road with you guys! Have a great Monday.

Thanks ACSL3 - i didn't know this: If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal.
-
Not really. I find that it's so darned hard for me to shake a pound loose that i'm trying to stick relatively close to the straight and narrow! Good luck to you guys - I hope you reach your goals as easily as possible.
-
You are awesome.

I second the recommendation for Body Glide. The chafing is worse in hot weather and i use it under my sports bra (Champion brand) for long runs, i also use it on the soles of my feet where they are a risk of blisters. Nothing like finding out in your post-run shower that you've got chafing burns in all the wrong places!…

CW: 158 OG: 145 August Goal: 154 Other goals: get myself to bed earlier each night; stop evening snacking; continue my investigation into a lifting program that will work into my schedule and get things lined up for September.

Thanks so much degeorgeff for organizing this! You rock!! :)

Hi everyone - I'm in Montreal and am looking forward to this challenge! I'm 54 and since my baby is going to be 31 at the end of August, I guess i can't blame my excess weight her! My downfall is munching during evenings or when ever I haven't had enough sleep and have to keep moving through my day...munching to stay…

Can't find it either. If invitations are going out, could I pls get one too! Thanks

Hi Juliann - Good luck with the cross fit! I bet after a session or 2, it will hurt to laugh!

Sorry - I'm from Canada, but I've been there...and to Australia

WOW! Great job!!! You've lost so much weight that your bathroom has gotten bigger! ;)

I listen to mysteries on audio-books that i download from the library...and I only let myself listen to the book if i'm exercising! When it's a gripping story, man, do i get alot of exercise!!! :) Also, i've learned that if i increase the font on my ereader, i can read while on the elliptical. It doesn't work if i run on…

Hi - I could also use some new friends to help me kick those last 10-12lbs to the curb (as the saying goes). I've lost enough over the past few years that I've become comfortable'ish with my current weight. And I'm also 5'4. Looking forward to new folks to support and to benefit from new supporters!

Congratulations on today's success...and all the successful days you've had leading up to today. And if you can run a mile, you'll be able to run a 5k in no time at all!!! (And then you'll be hooked! :) )
-
Wow! Great results from great dedication! Good for you. :)
-
Great results; good for you! :)

Congrats! Great job and thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much for this! I saw the subject line and popped in because i had lost a 100 day streak a month ago and had been so disappointed and demoralized...and much to my delight, using the link here, i was able to get my 100 days back. :)

"I post this not to brag, not to pat myself on the back or anything like that - I just want anyone out there to know that it is possible, it does get easier and with dedication, some hard work and willingness to research and learn, you can achieve your goals." Mission accomplished; thanks for the needed reminder! And…
