  • I'm loving all the super-enthusiastic "I'm ins"!!! Day 2- hope it's going well. And if you've stumbled, steady yourself and onward you go. :)
  • Looking forward to doing this...in good company of course! Hope everyone has had a good 1st day. And now on to day two. B) Oct 24: 161.4 Oct 31: Nov 07: Nov 14: Nov 21: Nov 28: Dec 05: Dec 12: Dec 19:

  • I run with a group of people and there are as many different answers as there are runners in the pack! Everyone finds what works for them and goes with it. I can eat in the car on my way to a run, while others have to eat at least 2 hours prior. It's trial and error and personal. Good luck!
  • I had the same problem and decided that i would work with a trainer for a few sessions because i needed to learn the difference between bad back pain and good back pain - the good being the one that comes with muscle fatigue from strength training. I also learned really focused on strengthening core and glutes and all the…
  • This thread is like "True Confessions"...and yes, I confess too after a crazy binge last night. Today has been much better and tomorrow will be even better...d*mn it!!! Onward we go.
  • Wrt leftover wine (yes, i know... :o ) and depending on how much is left, I'll either pour it into a 1c freezer container or I'll make "ice cubes" with it. And then it's ready for cooking. No, i have never defrosted it to drink; I'd just open a new bottle for that! :smirk:
  • I have had good success with pea protein and use it in my morning smoothie to get the extra protein that i was missing. I have tried the vanilla and chocolate-almond but really prefer the plain since I vary the ingredients of my smoothie every day. Douglas Labs Ultimate protein plus. I also use SunWarrior vegan protein…
  • I'm always looking for new and motivated friends too!
  • So cute...i'm guessing that keodell1966 is the supportive spouse of spodell1966! Nice team.
  • If you're determined, then it's really going to happen! You and your daughter are going to have a great 2016!!!
  • You can add me as well. But I'm definitely not local!

  • Weekend #2 is on the horizon. I will have house guests from Saturday until Tuesday and a pool party on Sunday afternoon. I have a run scheduled for tomorrow morning and 16k on Sunday morning..so there's some exercise. I'm going to do some research to find a good restaurant for Saturday evening, but at the moment, i can't…
  • My weekend went well too. I hung out at home and got some good gardening done, made it to bed at a reasonable hour each night, had a good run on Sunday morning and afterward spent some time thinking about how to organize myself for the week ahead given that I've found myself in a food rut. After wandering the aisles of my…
  • Hi Darla - thanks for posting! Your photos are fantastic (huge understatement here!!!) and show how hard you've worked and the success that you've achieved (and for that, a hale and hearty Congratulations!), but taken together with your words...the things that you've learned and the quotes that helped keep you moving…
  • I suffer from fatigue eating too and i usually have a baggie of chopped veggies...the quick ones to prepare, like a bell pepper, cherry tomatoes, a couple of baby cucumbers and/or some radishes and when time is short, i buy the bags of baby carrots. Crunchy food helps a lot. Sometimes chewing gum helps too, if it's…
  • mmebouchon - i can't believe that you actually tried to get through the day without coffee!!! My head would explode.
  • SW: 158 CW: 160.4 Way too much sodium this week in my diet; i'm finding as i get older, my body reacts very quickly and badly to sodium. I'm spending my day drinking water and know that this will pass very quickly. I'll be much more mindful going forward. So very thirsty today...
  • Spent some late night hours at the ER with a friend last night, so my head is aching and my eyes are burning with fatigue (whine, whine, poor me and I was just the buddy, not the sick one!). But now it's Friday afternoon and it's going to take a huge dose of focus to stay on the straight and narrow over the weekend.…
  • Wow, jjacks1986, sounds like you've been giving it a lot of thought already! I woke up this morning already distressed about the weekend and decided that i'd better get things planned today too. I'll get back with my plan but yours has given me some good ideas. And btw, for your Sunday cake, another option for your and…
