Ok but where are the cheese curds? You can't call it poutine without cheese curds. And I dunno about that sausage gravy, why fix what isn't broken? Just sprinkle some bacon bits and onions on top. Or some dressing, now that's a poutine I can get behind. But changing a core ingredient... That's just dancing with disaster.

I mean don't get me wrong, white gravy has its place, but that place is no where near poutine. It's funny because just this summer I had a nice conversation with a gentlemen from Quebec who gave a hilarious account of how terrible other provinces poutine is. Edit to add: I had a hard time arguing with him because the…

Omg no, you can't sit with us.

I did not know how patriotic I felt until I read this thread and saw people insulting timbits AND poutine.

Depends on your goals, what you enjoy and what motivates you, but of course everyone has said that already :P How did the class go? I plan on joining a local box when I have the disposable income to do so, right now I get a discount at a gym chain from work and I'm saving to go back to school so I can't justify it. It is…

Whatever is going to keep you going back and staying consistent! I personally strength train first, doing cardio first makes me too tired and then my form suffers, I'd rather have great form on my lifts and not hit my cardio as hard. Not to mention the thought of cardio makes me not want to go to the gym, but if I do my…

So I’ve been away for a while not doing much and maintaining where I didn’t want to be since I got out of school, three weeks ago I finally gave strong lifts a try since cardio kept making me not want to go. Well Monday, three weeks in I went to put some weight on the barbell for barbell rows and the bar didn’t feel heavy!…

No one gets married thinking they'll get divorced, getting a pre-nup doesn't mean you think it won't work out, but I'm the type of person who likes to be prepared for all scenarios. If I had a lot of assets I'd worked hard for you can bet I'll be protecting those, and I wouldn't be offended if the reverse situation…

I think description is relevant from another post from OP indicating he himself struggles with his weight so felt some sympathy for Hopper where he otherwise might not have. I think it's relevant because I don't know how likely it would have been for OP to cave in to a kid within a regular weight range, just my 2 cents.…

Either leftovers, or I'll prep some things Sunday like salads, wraps, soups, sandwiches. Or if I'm especially unprepared I'll grab a packet of instant oatmeal and bring some yogurt, or I'll bring some bread and peanut butter to make toast with a banana or something

It's and ad that is most likely based on your search history. It's the reason you can use the site for free. Don't like it, stop searching things related to it

I mean aren't you attracted to guys with a certain style too... I don't know, there are guys my friends think are hot but I find meh and vice versa, I would expect it to be the same with guys.

Sounds like a waste of money

5' and I'd like to hit 130-135 and start to do some recomp

I just moisturizer regularly with coconut oil. Mine eventually just faded, I have them on my inner thighs and you reach a point where you don't care about them anymore! I look at them like I look at other scars I've gotten, meh they're there.

Recipe builder is a life saver! I usually make enough for leftovers, so basically weigh and measure things as you cook and put into recipe builder, at the end weigh the final product and I put however much it weighs as the number of servings, then you can just weigh out your portion!

I get that, I found China especially hard, that 12 hour difference combined with the fact that I started following their practice of going home at noon and napping and I was useless for at least a week. Really the best advice I can offer, is the quicker you force yourself back into your routine the easier it'll be and the…

You answered your question yourself at the end, you just need to stop letting the excuses get to you! Not to mention, you can do workouts in your hotel rooms and lots of hotels have gyms, usually small but good way to stay with it. And I don't know where else you travel, but my favourite part about China was the wide…

I had to buy a couple new pairs of jeans because I was really pushing my last ones and was getting pretty close to 170lbs (at 5' ) when I swore I'd never break 160, and then 150 before that. I saw a picture of me going out in an outfit I thought I liked and decided to start making small changes. Now those new jeans I…

Am I gross if I say this gives me some satisfaction

For me it was about creating the habit of course, but slowly introducing exercise into my everyday. For most people if you start out hard going to the gym for 1h+ a day you'll burn out fast, that's what I always found used to happen to me. I started out just doing something little a couple of times a week, usually some…

Fun fact irrelevant to the rest of the post, but evidence suggests illness induced anorexia is actually an adaptive trait, because it helps prevent resource competition in the body (I.e. Some enzymes might but used by digestive and immune system but exclusively, so decrease food intake helps free up those resources to…

We use ours for a lot, I enjoy the crunch! We use it mostly for homemade/frozen fries since we're a family of four, but have done wings, porkchops, and a few other larger things, but can only do those one/a few at a time. Would be excellent for a single or couple! Clean up is easy, I find you use even less dishes then when…

As someone who worked at a movie theatre, people snuck some strange things in, alcohol was more common than I realized when I started working there

I did some Muay Thai through a class in my uni with special student price, got a little tied for cash this year so couldn't even afford that but I loved it! I found the school the instructor teaches at and they do a lot of different martial arts including bjj and some weapons stuff so I think I'll do a couple drop in…

Another full time student with part time job. I found what I needed to do was take it slow, so I started off with something I could change that wouldn't effect my day, I.e. Eating habits. Started logging everything I ate for a few weeks and dropped a good amount of weight! Now that I've got that down pat I'm starting to…

Also you can do a body recomp with body weight exercises, won't be as quick as weights, but there are a lot of variations and you can definitely follow a progressive body weight program, check out you are your own gym or convict conditioning! Super challenging! Super quick, easy at home workouts! YAYOG has like a $2-$3 app…

I was super strict the first couple of weeks because I needed to see that big initial loss, water weight or not, for motivation. Now I'm a little more lenient and usually go up to maintenance a couple of days a week so I don't feel the need to completely let go!
-
Tell me about it OP, I'm super jealous of tall people at 5' eating 1200 cals a day I lose at a moderate weight, haven't looked at it, but can't see me having a huge maintenance number! On the plus side I am starting to see I was just stuffing myself before

Basically either up your weight every week or up the number of reps you do every week, or do some combination of both. Even if you don't have a spotter, you should be squatting in a cage so that if you do fail there's something there to catch you
