Ugh! Confession Monday. I have been doing so well with limiting my calories while I recuperate from my foot surgery... but today I slipped up. Someone had a birthday in the office and we celebrated with a cake. I had a big piece and now I just feel sick. I'm not mad at myself which is a step in the right direction... but I…

It's always great afterwards when your hair feels so healthy! @Nikion901 You and Ana inspire me to want to cook! I just got an Instant Pot and have been perusing the recipes. I think I will try a butternut squash ginger soup. I made…

Hi everyone, I am new here but this thread really spoke to me. I love wine... really love wine. I belong to a group of friends that do wine tasting dinners, I belong to several wine clubs from the Paso Robles area...etc. Right around Thanksgiving, I started to get so fed up with my lack of control over food (and wine) that…

Monday report -- I went over my calories! ARGHH! It was my first full day back at work since my foot surgery. I was mindful to keep my foot elevated, but I let the stress of the day get to me and dipped into the candy supply twice. It's amazing how much two treat will drive up the daily calorie count! Two teeny snacks pack…

Greetings Group -- Good news is that I am recuperating, slowly but surely, from my foot surgery. I pushed it a little too hard by going back to work this week. They sent me home yesterday because I was hurting a bit... so I am home, in bed, propped up, foot elevated and checking in on MFP. The bad news is that I am…

Greetings All! It was a good food aware week for me. I have been logging everyday and really paying attention to it. That is a big NSV for me. AND I had a scale victory as well. I dropped 2.9 lbs this week. The exercise challenge is where I have failed in my goals. This month just be came so busy! I did flowers for a…

99.2 LBS! Well that's just amazing! Wow!

It's Wednesday and I have had a successful week, finally! I am crossing my fingers but I hope I have caught the wave and well on my way to better health. This week I was super mindful of my eating and water drinking. I don't think I reported this but one of my baby steps last month was to eliminate wine from my daily diet.…

I am grateful for the following things: 1) My wonderful Family and Friends 2) My job that I am so fortunate to have 3) I am back focusing on my journey 4) I found this group to share with 5) No drama right now with my family (it's been…

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I joined this group a few days ago vowing to join the new "endeavor." I recently got myself refocused to come back to my health gain (weight loss) journey. I jumped off the trail for far too long and now I feel I am climbing back. I have logged into MFP for 2 weeks. I have mastered a couple of…

I had a lunchtime NSV. I left the office to do a couple of errands and felt so hungry! I contemplated doing the McDonald's drive through, but when I passed it... I just kept on driving. After errands I stopped at home for a big salad with tomato, avocado, egg, balsamic vin. It was wonderful and filled me up.

SO ... even though my "scale" victories have not been amazing....My NSV's are great. I have logged in 10 days in a row AND I have upped my exercise considerably. I was finding it difficult to get myself motivated, but thanks to MFP and my trusty FitBit, things are looking better!
-
This weekend was filled with NSVs because I was able to log both days and exercise both days. Granted some of my food choices were not the best, but the fact that I did not ignore the journey is a big NSV for me.
-
My NSV is that I actually am back to focusing on getting healthy again! I have hit the restart button... I have logged in two days in a row... it's small, but it's a step in the right direction!

I had a slip last night with a few bites of the pineapple cake my sister in law packed for me to bring home. Before I demolished the cake I threw it in the garbage disposal (Sorry SIL) but better there than adding to my already over healthy waistline! ME: 3 LSN: 1 - darn it
-
I was so hungry last night around midnight but because of this challenge, I did not get up and go into the kitchen. Thank you! Me: 3 LNS: 0

Day 2 for me! ME: 2 LSN: 0 I really really wanted to snack last night... so I went into the bathroom and stepped on the scale. THAT deterred me from any late night snacking shenanigans!
-
I totally understand your dilemma... I am only beginning to try and stop night snacking. Your choice was better than cookies! It is an improvement. I think you need to feel good about that. Sometimes it comes down to making a better choice instead of denial. These treats sound delicious. I would say try your darnedest to…

Just started last night. Nighttime snacking is my biggest downfall. Thank you for this challenge!!!! ME: 1 - hooray! LNS: 0
