I'd like to know this too. I've got a bit more weight to lose, but also carry weight on my thighs and bottom and no matter how slim my top half is, my bottom half doesn't follow!!

@bringbackthejoy you've lost your holiday weight already!! As for being ill, I would say make sure you're better before you start back at the gym, you might put yourself back.

I set my weight loss at 2lb per week, but found that I was hungry lots, so I aimed for 1lb a week and that was more manageable. It's still taken me ages to lose 14lb though.

I use weight watchers scales which do the current thing too, my body fat is around 29% according to them which I really want to get down.

I'll join in too, need to have some motivation and accountability!! I didn't succeed in May, but I must do better in June, my holiday is 23rd of July and I'd love to be about 132lb by then. So for June, I'm going to aim for a 4lb loss.

I look for something similar in the food list on mfp too and use that as a guesstimate.

Hi, I'm from the uk too. I also have quite a sedentary job, I try and get up and walk about when I can. I too was shocked at how many calories I was consuming, sometimes around 600 calories for just a snack!!! Good luck.

I am the same, I'm hoping to get to about 132, I'm about 140 at the moment, but I need to tone too. I don't want to be thin either. I think if you eat healthy food you don't have to go as low as 1200 a day. I think that it's a slow process toning up, but it will happen eventually with regular exercise, this is my plan…

I'm not doing great either. How about spreading your calorie allowance out over the week, so maybe the days that you mainly go over allow yourself more, then cutback slightly other days to make up for it? That's what I'm trying, I've had over a week off tracking so that's why my weight is going up!!

My goal weight is 9 stone 7, this is what I was when I got married and I looked good in my bikini!! I will reassess when I get there, I think I'll need more toning, so am making exercise part of my lifestyle

I'll be honest, I am like that too, but recently something has changed in my mind set, and I'm generally eating much more healthy, and not cheating with cakes and chocolate. It is very difficult, but maybe try to prepare healthy things, like cut up fruit so that it's in easy reach?
