When I lost 60 lbs a couple years ago, I lost 8 inches in pants size. Yes, it means something. Probably not 2-4 lbs though.

Did you manually enter your goal calories the first time around? If you did, then when mfp thought it was time to recalculate, maybe you were lower than what it's standards are?

Lately I've been having 2 eggs with a slice of ham, slice of cheese on a half of a thin bagel, with a quarter cup of mushroom soup spread over top, so good! Paired with an apple and half banana fills me right up. Usually with scrambled eggs, I dice up some mushrooms, peppers, onions and add some cheese and it turns 2 eggs…

Healthier snacking and keeping yourself busy are really the only things you can do. If you are finding that you get bored easily at home, that can be the cause

I get what you are saying, I would say MFP calorie goals are more set for the over weight and not the obese like us. Last time I tried to lose weight, I lost 60 lbs in 15 weeks by just setting the calorie goal at 2000, which should be plenty for most anyone who isn't a real athlete. To be able to do the things I want to do. Trying to get into full time farming and I need to be in better shape to be able to succeed. That and to be able to fit in an airplane seat comfortably.

Yes. I'm in the same boat. I'm looking at 20lb by new years and 60-70 by next spring. A drop in the bucket for me, but it's a start. I know you can do it!
