I'm living in Europe and a vegetarian, so... no temptations for me. Still, if you said you joined mfp last week and you want to stay on track, then by all means do. I would say, do a workout in the morning before you go to burn some cals. Then the next day, do another workout and eat mainly vegetables and protein.

I think the ratio is "70% diet, 30% exercise". It comes down to calorie deficit at the end of the day, but really if weight loss is your goal then diet needs to be your first priority and exercise the second. I stick to 1,200 calories most days and then one or two days usually the weekend I have a bit more if I've earned…
