Thank you! However, I was about 370-380 at my highest, 230 at my lowest, and currently 280. I learned how to eat around it, and didn't actually lose, and keep off, any weight for about 4 years. And it's been an up and down struggle since then.

Same...basically no cartilage in either knee. I do a lot of strength training, which actually helps a lot. For my cardio, the elliptical is my best friend. I can go for walks, but they can't vigorous...mainly just pleasant strolls. I also do standing punches (surprisingly gets your heart rate up nicely when you punch fast…

:D My children do this! One of them will tell the other "your face is stupid!" and I'm over there dying laughing telling them "but, y'all look alike!"

For Starbucks, I've set the limit of keeping my drinks near the 150 calorie mark for as much as I can squeeze in, and of course, working them in as a snack. I'll get one of the following depending on my mood: * Venti Light Coffee Frap w/Sugar Free Vanilla OR Skinny Mocha sauce if I want chocolate (160 cals, depending on…

Thank goodness you're here on social media to argue with every single thing I say because it's not illegal to open your mouth and you have absolutely no couth.

I'd rather be fat than have a face like yours.

:D :D :D LOVE!!!

It is terribly disheartening, even if it's said out of ignorance with positive intentions. Screw their positive intentions. What's the saying? "The road to hell is paved with good intentions." :D People need to be expected to do better instead of being told they have a right to blurt out every thought they have. Now, I do…

Me! I had roux n y gastric bypass in 2001.

I don't follow any kind of food group restriction or WOE. Over the years, I've done them all, from keto to Whole30 to WW-style to IF and everything in-between. The thing I wind up sticking with is eating for nutrition and taste following CICO. I do put forth more effort to eat more protein but that's mainly because of the…

It sounds like you're far more advanced than I am, but in case anyone else less advanced is reading, when I started using my trainer, while fat loss is my number one goal, I also told her I LOVE lifting and would love to see the day come when I can really lift heavy. She did an assessment and told me that day would come,…

I totally understand this. When I log my exercise, I change the calories burned to be about half what MFP estimates. And I don't go out of my way to eat them back unless I'm actually hungry. If I'm not hungry, I don't worry about it. I'm sure I'll have a day later in the week where I'm ravenous :D
-
You mean things like pepper, garlic powder, dried basil, etc? Those things I don't log. I can't. I'd spend all day making myself measure every shake I add. Most pure dried herbs and spices have very, very little calories. Some have a small amount of carbs. For instance, you need an entire tablespoon of black pepper to make…

:D I dunno, I kinda think it's more for a "Fun With Dick and Jane" book.

Same. It made everything even better! :)

You. Are. Welcome. :D :D :D

Generally, no. But really, that's a question for the current lady in your life (if there is one right now), as well as your own preference. Personally, I prefer it natural for the guy, unless the forest is so thick I can't find the tree. Then you may want to do a little hedge trimming.

It can yes. If he loses weight, the fat pad around his fun stick shrinks, thus exposing more of that lovely length. And if she loses weight, she too reduces the fat padding around her love glove, thus allowing his fun stick to reach new depths. ** This is a generalization. Experiences may vary. Now I'm gonna have a hard…

Feel free to lurk me too! :)

I went through this too. People *will* comment, whether you want them to or not, LOL! And no, you don't have to pretend that it's okay for someone to make comments about your appearance. You can tell them you don't appreciate it when they point out something about someone else's appearance without being asked to. Anyway,…

Oh, for folks who aren't sure how to add as friends, click on the "name" of the person you want to friend until you get to their profile (usually two times) and then you should see an option to "add as friend" and also to send a message along with your friend request so they have a clue who you might be.

At my highest weight I had over 200lbs to lose and have been a food addict since I was a preschooler. First, you have to view your food choices and exercise like you do brushing your teeth. You don't ask yourself whether or not you feel like brushing your teeth, you just DO it regardless of how you feel about it because…

I always have this problem with new exercises that keep me in one position or that are repetitive in a way that puts my weight on something a lot in a way I'm not used to. If it's sitting, my butt (one side or both, just depends) will go numb, and one or both feet with get tingly. If I haven't used the elliptical in a long…

Yup. I feel icky otherwise.

Absolutely, on all counts. :D

It's tasty with apples (measured carefully or else I'd eat half the jar). I'll put a tablespoon of it with my little bowl of Halo Top chocolate because the Baskin Robbins Peanut Butter Chocolate ice cream is my favorite, but soooooo many calories. It's also awesome for making Thai peanut sauce and salad dressing (used…

Chest workouts will give your boobs better support, which will lift them some. That helps a smidgen. Otherwise, you're just gonna hafta learn to love the lil guys. :)

Always keeping a quarter when you left the house in case you had car trouble. And a road atlas. Parachute pants. Ugh. Frosted lipstick. When everyone looked like they had frostbite. Dial-up internet. It was amazing. You could start dialing, go make dinner, clean up the kitchen, take your shower, come back to your computer…

The old saying "you can't out-train a bad diet" will always ring true. The most efficient is both. Keep your calories under control and also exercise to improve overall fitness. As far as insisting on one or the other, and assuming it was only going to be that 100 calories, I'd choose to burn 100 calories through strength…

-You've reached the point of "normal" people. You've already won. Everything else from here is just a little tweaking. -If you want to feel better, do better. -A month from now you can either feel stronger and younger, or you can feel weaker, fatter, and older. Your choice. -It's just food, not anything special. -When I'm…
