I use a heart rate monitor and calorie counter and I burned 780 calories going half a$$ed on day 2. So I'm sure that around 1000 is right if you follow through.

Did you buy Insanity from Beachbody? They include a meal plan and in that booklet is calculations for how to determine how many calories you should be eating. Also, I check my HR as often as I can during my exercises. Any time I need a break I check my HR.
