Hard to understand if you, in fact, have a problem if you don't tell us your height.

Doc Martens aren't cool anymore? :(

I love cooking with oil. It doesn't deplete your calorie allocation, it just uses it. Calories from oil can sustain you just like calories from vegetables (noting that one needs other minerals and nutrients not obtained from oil)

Exercised all my life. The only thing that affected weight in a significant way for me was CICO. If you think about it, an 8km run burns about 2000kj for me, less than the calories in a McDonalds burger. It's pretty easy to eat the back if you aren't measuring calories.

I'm lucky. I have two. They are long enough for me to tie my shoe laces but don't drag on the ground when I walk, so I guess they are the right size.

I've done both but now consistently get up at 5am for a run. It really is so much better (granted the climate here is friendly). Morning's are quiet, traffic is is minimal and you share the space with others who appreciate it. Bad behaviour is not much of an issue in the morning. Depending on your location, evening runs…

Buy a skipping rope and investigate skipping workouts on youtube.

All of the above. For me, its also about reflecting on those times when you do something that compromises your goal, and understanding why (without beating yourself up about it). Surprisingly, if you give a name to that reason - 'loneliness', 'stress', 'fear', it reduces it's impact.

I guess one issue will be that you won't learn manageable and sustainable eating strategies to maintain your goal weight in the long term. I've found value in MFP in learning to eat normal, real food in a manageable way.

I can't comment on the lifting but have run most of my life. Barring medical issues, my reading is that running with good form isn't bad for joints. Our bodies are built for running and walking. Pain and soreness can be a part of it because every run is different. Things have improved a lot for me by core-strengthening…

I wake at 5am and have done so since my teens. I usually find it easier to get in a run or a swim in the morning when I'm fresh and the rest of the world is sleeping. Things build up through the day that get in the way of evening exercise, particularly when you're looking after kids. Of course, getting up early means you…

Great explanation.

I'm guessing what is happening here is that you have replaced calorie dense processed food, with less calorie dense whole and unprocessed foods. If that's that case, of course you can eat more and lose weight. It's still CICO. Peace

I don't drink orange juice. Most of us are brought up believing orange juice is healthy. It's basically a concentrated sugar hit. It's far better to eat an orange and take advantage of the fibre.

Our musculoskeletal structure is rarely symmetrical. I would doubt that any differences in fat loss are all that noticeable. My thought would be that your frame (muscles and skeleton) is slightly asymmetrical and you are noticing differences in your shape. Why not just get healthy and fitter, and look like a healthy, fit,…
