  • I think you really need to read through some of the posts on here and it'll help you calm down (especially if you are weighing daily), loads of threads about gaining X number of lbs over night/after dinner and everyone has the same advice.
  • @WinoGelato To be fair next week is my TOM so I'm expecting the scales to go up and down a bit over the next few days...but definitely going to try out the advice you've given me. Thank you for taking the time to reply!
  • @WinoGelato this is great advice below is last weeks calorie burn: I tend to do alterative days at the gym, Mon, Wed, Fri sometimes a Sat or Sun too but I try to keep moving on the days I'm not going (I've worn a path from my desk to the water cooler and ladies toilet!) . Having the Fitbit has definitely made me more aware…
  • @WinoGelato this has been my thinking too...to reply to your questions I've been using my fitbit since the 17th Feb and my 7 day average steps is 9004 (however some of this might be from the warm up run I do at the gym??), my MFP activity setting is sedentary (as I have a desk job) calorie burn for the last 7 days seems to…
  • Yep, due on next week and it's creeping on already...1.2lbs this morning from yesterday's weigh in but I don't let it worry me. I look forward to the first day and it all comes off again :) Hang in there!
  • Thanks for this, I have always been slightly sceptical of my exercise calories; for example on Saturday I apparently accrued an extra 981 cals (early morning gym visit and walking about during the day) so I quite like the idea of only using 50% -75%. Normally I aim to eat them all back but some nights after the gym then…
  • Thanks for all the replies...I guess I'm overthinking things! Reading too many posts on here can you make you question yourself. I'll stick with what I'm doing just now as it seems to be working (so far). :)
  • This is an excellent thread...after reading through the community boards for the last two months I've seen the same questions and topics coming up again and again, those of you who have been on here for years must be tired of dishing out the same advice? And if I see the word "keto" once more I might lose the plot…
  • Wow! Bugger lol...knew it was too good to be true :o Wish they would make it much clearer on the labelling of products but thank you, hopefully my tracking will be on point now.
  • Very confusing...maybe in future I'll stick to my 100g dry weight measurement but put in 210 cals for it?
  • looking at this and I could be wrong? I only ever measure out 100g not the serving size they suggest...any ideas?
  • That doesn't make sense...calories gained through exercise aren't a given or guaranteed.
  • This might be a silly question but if you aren't using MFP to log/track your calorie/marcos and happily manage to "loose" 10lbs why come on the MFP boards in the first place? I've wondered about this when people ask "what diet are you following?", erm none...I'm eating within a healthy calorie range and exercising…
  • I have a Fitbit HR which is synced to my MPF diary, I let it add on the extra calories which I work up during the day (mostly from walking about), the nights I workout at the gym I can gain anything from 150 – 300 extra cals. Last night I had dinner after the gym and still had about 400 cals left over and just left it at…
  • I wouldn't say it's cravings for certain foods but I find it takes more to make me feel full and satisfied so I find I snack a lot more. Crisps yogurt, protein bars, fruit...but it's all logged and tracked.
  • Perfect...thanks @WinoGelato that's so much clearer, I now feel more confident with what my FitBit is telling me.
  • I was going to ask a similar question to DebiLu64, this time it's the extra calories added on to my daily goal from things such as walking and normal daily activities, not my intentional evening work outs (which I normally do add and use up). So far I have been deleting them when they are synced and added throughout the…

  • Chin up...it's not the end of the world is it?????
  • Hope you enjoyed it...lets move on shall we?
  • Are you just on here for a moan??
  • Yes. please especially people in the UK :)
  • Which question was asking about low carb? To be fair if you want takeaway without rice or noodles Chinese isn't the best option is it really?
  • oft! Unfortunately Chinese in the UK is different to the US, well the options certainly seem different. However last night I had a half portion of hot and spicy chicken chow mien and some din sum, weighed in this morning and no change so I'm happy with that.
  • I normally stick to a Chicken chow mien or something similar...now I fancy a Chinese!
  • Just keep him away from the pencils...
  • Thank you...I have mentally prepared myself to what trends it may show lol :p . To be fair I have only been tracking my calories properly for the last 3 weeks (on and off for a couple of months) and I know it takes time for any weight loss to show properly especially with only having 12lbs to lose. However I have began to…
  • If you don't believe or agree with MFP and everyone who uses the website and app, then why come on and comment that we are all doing it wrong? Most people who give advice have been successful in either losing/maintaining or gaining the weight they aimed for. So to claim it's all wrong it a bit unfair.
  • Sometimes I need to take a break from reading them as I think I might post a reply and end up getting kicked off! Detoxing is another one that grates on me..."drink this magical brew and all badness will melt away" erm only if it comes with a chocolate biscuit!
