  • Looking at your diary a lot of things are measured in cups, tablespoons, 1/2 slices, etc...I'd imagine your logging needs tightened up by using a food scale to measure your food.
  • This is kind of the point I tried to make for the OP with my example...I had a large meal with wine which is not how I normally eat on a day to day basis. I'm aware my increase on the scales will be water and food volume which will take a few days to come off...not sure why someone "wooed" me? 😕
  • Looking at your diary you have a calorie target of 1700 or there about but have 400 or 500 left over at the end of most days. Why not just eat more? If MFP gave you a target of 1700 you will lose weight by sticking to it.
  • I feel your pain, was finally down to 161.2lbs my lowest yet, boyfriend took me out for my dinner on Saturday night I enjoyed 3 delicious courses along with a couple of red wines and had a lovely evening. Next day I weighed in at 165.2lbs :/ bit of a bugger and it'll probably take me most of this week to get back down to…
  • Ha! I was expecting a Herbalife hand grande to set everyone off... :D
  • Why not make your diary public and we can see if you are making any rookie errors...also do you eat this way consistently, even at weekends?
  • I use a pair of Nike fingerless gloves (nice pink and grey ones :) ) they definitely help my hands, I used to get a "burning" feeling in the pads under my fingers when lifting the bar but these really help. Plus (totally psychological) when I put them on it's get to work time, time to get lifting heavy!
  • Well thats me told 😂
  • Why not stick to one scale with fresh batteries and keep note of the readings for a couple of weeks, trend is more important than the numbers in the long run
  • I'm sure you do more than 3k a day, I do over this just pottering about the house on a Sunday.
  • Looking at your diary, if I was in your position I'd change my activity levels. You are clearly not "sedentary" from the amount of extra calories you seem to be gaining from exercise, even if as you say you don't trust your Fitbit readings it's still a hefty adjustment. I was in the same boat but after @WinoGelato…
  • What exactly is your question?
  • Touché! :p
  • Neither is your comment...
  • @lkndaniels the very best of luck in your journey!
  • Normally give the scales a kick, swear that I'm giving up, it's just a waste of time...etc, etc...then log what I'm going to be eating that day and carry on as I always do lol.
  • This is the same mind set as my partners...I'm trying to show him that overall diet is more important than just when you are exercising. Sticking to a daily calorie goal to either lose or maintain weight is were the initial focus should be, while using exercise for body composition and aesthetics rather than a weight loss…
  • Wow...too many woo's to mention
  • Is the 1500 calories for men on the standard American diet or you referring to keto ... for me that’s a lot of food ... the only reason I can now consume 2000 is because of the gym [/quote] If you don't count calories, how do you know how many you are consuming??
  • I'm a bit late to the party here but the posters on here are bad influence on me as I've started to challenge the "diets" that pop up on my Facebook timeline...one was a Rhubarb supplement, eh? Apparently this cured EVERYTHING, weight loss, insomnia, anxiety...etc, the page blocked me as I requested the "science" behind…
  • Same thing when it comes down to it

  • I'd say the majority of people on the boards have experienced it, use the search function and you'll see hundreds of posts about it.
  • To be fair looking at your diary you are roughly sticking to your calories each day, okay you go over now and again but not massively, so you'll still be in some sort deficit. Yes, your exercise gives you some extra calories but it's exactly the same system that everyone else on here follows...to proclaim you have been…
  • You'll see it's mostly advice on how to use MFP to count calories and watch portion sizes, something I believe WW doesn't really educate it's members on. Use the Search function for Weight watchers and I'm sure you'll find loads of posts and threads with relevant advice.
  • Sorry but not sure who could tell you that here as this isn't a Weight watchers website???
  • Who does???
  • Really?! Have you ready any of the advice that the other posters have put on here?? It seems to completely contradict what others have said...
  • In the search function look up Keto or Low carb...there are hundreds of posts and threads about it, there is also a discussion group you can join.

  • It's only been two weeks and looking through your diary there are hardly any entries....tighten up logging (and maybe check you are eating the correct amount; don't go for the lowest and hope for it to come off quickly, like a lot of people do on here).
  • Search Keto or Low Carb on here and you'll find hundreds of posts about it...
