It's not bogus. Its how its done. Simple as that. it is unhealthy for the facts that you're starving your body from what it needs and it reacts. After you're done your body bloats backup. That's why it's unhealthy. like it or not the method is pretty common.

say what you want. You offer nothing except a useless pompous attitude. All you do is troll threads and criticize people's advice. I suggest you offer up your years of expertise instead.

Actually no.

No?

There's some pretty inexpensive heart rate monitors you can get that greatly help with accurate calorie burn during your work outs as its constantly monitoring your heart rate. MFP's calorie estimation for working out is way off I found in most cases. A buddy of mine recently tried logging in 4 hours of lawn mowing and MFP…

I like to eat almonds for calorie fillers! They're tasty and a small amount yields a pretty high calorie count.

If you all want to add me my name on there is swilson1297. I'm pretty active on it.

This has probably happened to almost everybody Lol. Definitely happened to me but was lucky to catch it before it got too out of control. You get comfortable and bad habits set in, let's face it. Eating is amazing:p

I disagree. Weight loss doesn't always mean fat loss, a lot of people can lose muscle fibers as well, on a deficit. You need to balance a healthy diet for your whole life. Why not learn to do that and at the same time promote healthy fat loss.

Nuts, good calorie fillers.

That's easy enough. Have a couple eggs in the morning with a serving of oatmeal mixed with berries. Have a banana a couple hours later. Maybe a chicken sandwich and an apple for lunch and so on. Track it and fill up the rest of your calories by snacking on almonds and other nuts during the day. They're rich in good fats…

At least I offered something other then just weighing food. I'm not criticizing anybody. How is outlining what a well balanced diet in the proper ratios subpar advice? That's just silly.

So the quality of those calories means nothing?

You need to make sure your macros are in order. Just because you may be under your calories doesn't mean your gonna lose weight. Your getting harped on here a lot about food measuring, blah blah blah. Yeah its important. Especialy if your weight training and getting serious. I know tons of people that arent measuring…

I'm sorry but this is incorrect information. If my target intake for the day is 2000 calories to lose say 1.5lbs a week. I need to hit that target daily. If I workout and burn 500 calories and don't eat it back then I have starved my body for the my daily requirement and have possibly sabataged my weight loss goals. YOU…

Also ditch the soda.

Make sure you drink enough water daily and through the day. 3 cups is not enough. You should be drinking half of your body weight in ounces of water daily. The scale is the devil when you get down to a certain weight and you can easily fluxuate 1 to 7 lbs of retained water week to week. You need to build good lean muscle…
