When I had my fitbit I noticed MFP had some smarts to not double count calories. For example, if I played basketball and had my fitbit on me, I would then log the basketball session and it would actually subtract it from my fitbit calories. Same here. I wish MFP had better ways to log weight training. I'm not looking to use it to add calories to my daily intake I just want to record my workout sessions so I know what my weights are currently at for next time. For now I just put it in as a generic strength training entry with 1 calorie.

Good luck. I've been there and done it. Like others have said break it into smaller steps and then just take it day by day. I always found keeping myself busy made me stop wanting to eat out of boredom and finding foods I enjoy that are very low in calories to fill me up instead always helped. I'll add you.
