The soft chest straps aren't really uncomfortable, they fit fairly tight and don't move once fitted right. The only issue I've found with a lot of sweat is that after a year now the strap has stretched so it needs replaced but there was no issue with bad readings.

Ice, ibuprofen and go to the doctor.

It will still function the same way whether you set the calorie limit or have MFP do it. You'll just end up earning positive calories sooner.

I had bacon and eggs yesterday for breakfast, today I had 4 slices of toast with peanut butter, tomorrow I may have chili. Lunch yesterday was a brisket sub, today it's oatmeal. Whatever fits in your calorie goal is what works.

I'm assuming you've linked Garmin Connect and MFP? I had an issue at first because I forgot to change the device it was using, in the app press the menu button then select steps, make sure it's using Garmin Connect.

I'd rather walk at a lower incline and not have to hold on. If you're holding on the machine is providing support for you.

Start using less sugar/cream and cut the amount back every week until you're drinking black coffee.

x3, my sodium intake yesterday was 7600mg. Granted that's not the normal (hooray for pizza!) but it's typically between 3-4000.

Amazon has a barebones Weslo Cadence for $287, hard to get much cheaper. I've had one for a month or so and it so far seems good for the price but is no means a heavy duty unit.

We use Precor at the University I work at, they seem to take abuse well.

I have a couple pairs of the Sony that I love and but I bought a cheap pair of BT ones to leave at work and surprisingly they work very well. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UV9TRK4?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s01

They don't, unless the scrambled egg was made using milk or cooked in oil.

The Fitbit warranty is great, if the band starts coming apart you can simply email them and they'll send you a new one in a couple days.

I went for a 4.5 mile run this morning then immediately had about 48oz of coffee, a donut, chicken wings and a cereal bar for breakfast. I'm still starving and lunch can't come fast enough.

My Flex has gone dead a few times like that. I found that to make sure it actually charged fully it needed to be on the charger all night not just until all the lights blinked. Since I started doing that it's been fine and the low battery warning worked properly.

I ate an entire container of Americone Dream as lunch, 1120 calories and worth every one.

Confession: Outside of exercising, if you wear earbuds/headphones in public I want to punch you in the face. This is especially true at restaurants, disconnect yourself and pay attention to your surroundings or *gasp* have a conversation with someone. *I work on a college campus so my view may be slightly skewed, I've seen…

I'd be lying if I said a lot of the conversations my wife and I have involve farts and bodily functions. That's how you know they're a good person lol.
-
No most men aren't like that or at least myself and the guys I know.

That's a great looking truck, if I didn't live 25 miles from work or gas was cheap again I'd totally buy a 50's era Dodge Power Wagon to commute. Love the old iron, pretty sure I was born 3 decades too late.

@BZAH10 the Jeep is an 03 it's starting to show it's age through the Great Lakes winters though, it got a new tailgate/fenders last year and needs a windshield frame this year as well as some rust repair on the tub. That's part of the reason I picked up a 98 Cherokee to drive in the winter so it can take the salt abuse. As…

I mostly lurk in the background but I'm pretty much always current, fun fact outside of work there is pretty much no one who calls me by my actual name. Anyone who's known me longer than a couple years calls me Fester, even my parents and siblings.

Thanks, they're pretty good boys for the most part. Ollie is a little high strung and needs a good daily run which gets hard sometimes but Boone may be the perfect dog. Here's a more recent pic of the Jeep, a little more rusted, busted and bent but she still runs well.
-
LOL, I confess my first thought was 'You need to slow down and probably need new tires.' And here's my boys, one on the left is Ollie a pitbull/hound mix, the other is Boone an Irish Setter/Lab mix.

Today marks 1 year of food logging for me, this time last year I was 250lbs and wearing 42" waist pants and couldn't run an 1/8 of a mile. Now I'm 180lbs, wearing 32" waist pants and run 3 miles a few times a week. The really surprising part to me is that with the exception of the first month it just seems too easy and I…

Connect your Fitbit and MFP accounts, enable negative calories in MFP, don't set any goals in Fitbit, log your exercise with Fitbit (or a 3rd party app like Runkeeper) and log your food with MFP. I've been set up like that for a year and it works, eat back part of your exercise calories or don't that part is up to you.

Confession: If I sit down for a meal I will drink whatever is in front of me non stop until I get up. Doesn't matter what it is, coffee, water, iced tea, beer..... That was part of the reason I started losing weight fairly quickly when I stopped ordering calorie laden drinks when we went out, it was not uncommon for me to…

Toyota Tacoma and now I want the Mexican food version lol.

07 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 with rear locker, it's on street tires, we've had a crap ton of rain the last week, on the side of a small hill and there's clay under about 5 inches of topsoil. Tires would have made all the difference since I didn't even spin a tire with some moderately aggressive all terrains. That's my $500 beater…
