I have a Polar M400 (with chest strap). One of the main reasons I went with a chest strap HRM was so I could get a better read on calories burned during my weight lifting sessions. A wrist HRM being constantly jarred by hand activity (holding and throwing around weights) will not be as accurate.

I stopped drinking any calories (mostly just cokes and coffees). I still eat most of what I want. I just accept that if I decide to have that bowl of Peanut Butter Crunch, I'll have to put in the exercise that much longer @ _ @
